What have I been playing, I hear you ask? Well fellas, I've been playing the fuck out of the Call of Duty series of late. Not even sure why...I just got an urge to finish up all the COD games on 360, and play through Ghosts on the PS4. So I beat Black Ops 2 and Modern Warfare 2 this weekend, and I'm halfway done with Ghosts. Ghosts actually has one of the better campaigns in the series.
I've also decided to start playing Skyrim. I've been holding out hope of a PS4 port, but I can wait no longer. NOW is the perfect time to finally play through it....all the DLC, patches, and mods are out and perfected at this point. And with the new wave of RPG's coming in the next few months, this is the time to get into Skyrim. I have it maxed out on my PC with 53 mods installed that are going to make it so much more awesome to play. I'm going to be a Dark Elf male named Avocado....that should stir some shit up in Skyrim. I'm on vacation next week so I plan on destroying this game.
I'm playing Hyrule Warriors, and getting close to finishing it up. Three chapters to go I think. Playing as Ganondorf is depressing though. You just keep mowing through all the good guys that you kind of built up attachments to. It's damned near sadistic what the devs did in that regard.
So who here is getting SSB WiiU? Peronally, the 3DS demo is enough to scratch my itc for SSB on the go, but if I'm the only shmuck getting the WiiU version I might reconsider

I'll get the Wii U version day one. Totally excited for it. I may even get an Amiibo if I can figure out what the hell the do. And as much as I'd like the 3DS version, I know I'll enjoy the Wii U version a lot more and I keep telling myself that to keep from getting it.
Oh yeah I'm definitely getting Smash Bros. for Wii U that's why I held off on getting the 3DS version. It feels great to finally have a Wii U so I can actually pick up this game when it comes out.
Also that Zelda music on the eShop makes me want to run out and grab Hyrule Warriors so badly.
When I was a kid, I would wake up at 6am on Saturday morning, and watch my favorite cartoons until noon. During the commercials, and cartoons I didn't like, I'd play Atari. Good times.
Yep this was me.
It sucks because now funding is being cut and the shows are suffering. The follow up to Avatar The Last Airbender, The Legend of Korra even ditched tv for the internet. Shows like the new Thundercats can't find funding. DC have virtually stopped doing 2D animated shows anymore, of any worth. Man-of-Action garbage like Ben 10 Omniverse and Hulk Agents of Smash, Ultimate Spiderman rules the waves.
At least they are following up with the clone wars sequel, Star Wars Rebels. There's a new Guardians of the Galaxy series coming but if it's by Man-of-Action production team I wont be holding my breath. Well, I've discovered anime now so I can't say I'm lacking in things to watch.

So what was everyone's fav Saturday morning cartoon? I had a fondness for Thundarr the Barbarian and Dungeons and Dragons.
Defenders of the Earth, Prince Valiant, Spiderman 1994 series, X-Men, Conan, Exosquad. Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors (hasn't aged well), Thundercats, Transformers. Mighty Max, Gummi Bears and more.

Galaxy High and Muppet Babies. Oh and Garfield and Friends.
These too, plus Fraggle Rock.

You guys remember that awful Droids cartoon staring C3PO and R2D2? I watched it every Saturday despite disliking the show just because it was Star Wars releated, lol.
I used to love it, rented it within the past couple of years and it's fecking awful.

No Saturday morning cartoons?!?!?! Wtf!!?
saturdays were sacred as a kid. I would watch Ghostbusters, and the king of cartoons TMNT.
I forgot about those two, I still have that mega metal entire boxset of The Real Ghostbusters from Timelife. I used to watch Rugrats too and Ren and Stimpy.

Same here, plus the Ewoks show. The best thing about Droids was the theme song.
...this should be a great thread but Im too damn lazy.
I just have no interest in Smash Bros so I won't be getting it. I've never really seen what was so great about them other than getting a hard on for all the random Nintendo characters.
Tried to love it on Cube & on Wii. I'm done trying.

I didn't like Brawl at all, think I was bored of it. But I am interested in the U game, primarily because of offscreen play, I think it's perfect for a quick blast, especially whilst watching something else on the tv.
I got this game because I kept on hearing how HARD it was; How it wasn't very good because it was so impossible; how the developer made it complicated for complexities sake...
Then I got stuck on the World Map not knowing how to advance the story, probably over-leveling my characters and making it too easy...
I just had to try it anyway. The age of the obscure Japanese-SRPG being brought over to this country ended a long time ago. That they actually took the time to do it, made me almost feel obligated.
If dick jokes are a sign of tedium, we all must be the most bored people on the face of the planet.

I've been playing Destiny and Super Mario 3D World. SM3DW is such an excellent game. I'm currently at world 4-1.
No Smash Bros U for me. I played the GCN and Wii versions for only a few hours before becoming completely bored with them. Just not my thing.
That is VERY CRUEL, Leo!
If I pick up Smash, it'll be for the U. I'm sure I'll have more fun with it.
Fuck! I cant play Destiny be cause my wifi is getting screwy. Developers, this is why you done make online only games!

The Classic Cartoon thread: You can still watch them today!
Whatever happened to Arnies new cartoon:

did that ever air?

I wasn't sure I'd get Smash right away, but now I'm reading Captain Toad might be delayed, so I may get it to have something for the U.
Why play Destiny, Shadow of Modor or Hyrule Warriors when you can play a ridiculously overcomplicated PS4 game that looks like an upscaled PS2 game?

No regrets!
^What is the name of that game?
