I will also admit I just had kind of an Aspro moment in the game too. You, naturally, come across Mario enemies in the game. Koopas and Goombas abound. All different types too, Koopa and Paratroopas, of course --and-- Giant Goombas to go along with the normal sized ones.
Came across one of the big guys, wandering around an area, and fired my Mega Buster at it. Slid into it. Used a Crash Bomb on it. Threw a Metal Blade at it. Leaf Shield. Tried to throw it... Nothing!
I was like: WTF? How strong could this Goomba really be?!
Worst Saturday morning cartoon = Pac-Man. God that was awful. Even at 6 years old I knew that was shit.
I remember that one. There were some terrible cartoons back then. I recall a specifically horrific one: Meatballs and Spaghetti:
"The series centered on Meatballs & Spaghetti, a husband-and-wife singing duo who roamed the country in a mobile home with their friend Clyde (who was the bassist), and their dog Woofer (who was their drummer)."
I recently quit doing video game panels for the conventions I go to. Got too tired of begging for free hit from 3rd tier developers. I've now been doing Saturday Morning Cartoon panels, and its been a lot more fun (and easiers). I've been trying to get a copy of Meatballs & Spaghetti to show for the "god awful cartoons you forgot about segments". Very tough to track down a copy that isn't total crap.
That's awesome, Leo! Dig Dug will forever be a classic.
You guys remember that awful Droids cartoon staring C3PO and R2D2? I watched it every Saturday despite disliking the show just because it was Star Wars releated, lol.
Same here, plus the Ewoks show. The best thing about Droids was the theme song.

saturdays were sacred as a kid. I would watch Ghostbusters, Mario bros., Garfield, and the king of cartoons TMNT. Then in the 90s fox Saturday morning was the best! X-men, spider man, fantastic four, Mega man, sonic.
oh and remember when nick toons started, Doug, rugrats and ren and stimpy!
