AC Revelations sort of review but not really a review is up
Let's try and work out this Capcom 5 year plan:
In the current fiscal year, which ends in March 2014, some of our businesses have performed well while others have been somewhat weak. For example, "Monster Hunter 4" and our pachislo machines have been strong performers but our mobile contents business has not met our expectations.
What in the name of fuck is a pachislo machine? So their mobile games have underperformed.
In June 2013, we started discussions to create a five-year plan consisting of a 60-month map and a 52-week map. One element is a comprehensive review of our software development operations.
In 2014, we will integrate our global operations and sales departments. Our goal is to further strengthen marketing strategies for (1) downloadable content (DLC), (2) mobile contents, (3) online operations, and (4) brand contents.
So they're going to market shit more, mostly online related content and cell phone stuff.
I believe that we have largely completed the framework needed for re-examining development operations and reinforcing marketing strategies. Our next objective is to provide to as many people as possible a variety of products that take full advantage of Capcom's vast amount of content.
So they want a lot of people to play their games and to make a variety of games. How is that a plan?
Marketing channels are expanding horizontally in a dramatic fashion because of rapid changes in the operating environment in the game industry.
What the fuck does expanding horizontally mean?
To succeed, Capcom must execute strategies and target the constant changes in our markets. Accomplishing this will allow us to become one of the world's leading companies in five years.
What strategies are they executing and what changes are they talking about? This is more like a rallying end speech to reassure employees.
I want to build a development framework that can put the right people in the right places.
So you had the wrong people in the wrong places?
This process will reflect an understanding of what consumers want and what types of products have become hits.
So no Wii U games then.
From now on, I plan to hire at least 100 software developers every year to give us an even more powerful development workforce. Furthermore, I want to establish clear targets for these developers so they can help make Capcom even stronger.
A lot of dudes.
Games are so overrated.
Well I would hope there's some pussy in there...the fuck.
WTF, two of those are in the Vampire Diaries. They're much younger in that pic.

LOLOL!

In all seriousness, If you haven't seen this yet, GO. SEE. IT! One of the BEST movies EVER!
By the way I learned something about Star Tropics the other day that I was completely unaware of. The game (and the sequel for that matter) were never released in Japan. It was only out in the US and EU. So given that Nintendo is mainly focused on Japan, I think it's safe to say that won't be rebooting a game that their main focus has never played before.
Despite never playing it, I can't help feel sad that we're never going to see it. RIP village chief.
Question for the PS3 BioShock Infinite owners. Is Bioshock on the disc itself or is it a downloadable code? I'm debating picking up Infinite if I can get my hands on both of the games at once. I tried the original out, but gave up somewhere around the time when the botanist lady was killed and the air quality was getting bad. I figure a second try on an easier level might be an option, and if I can get both of them at once for like $25, why not?
It's on the disk, but you have to fully install it to play.
I think that was only on specially marked boxes. My Aussie version doesn't include it.
With the site acting up so much lately, I never got to say sorry and I hope somehow it works out.
All copies include it in North America. I haven't seen any retail copies that didn't say it on the cover anyway.
Tomb Raider Definitive Edition PS4 = 60 FPS; XB1 = 30 FPS. Heh, I wish I could tell the difference between 30 and 60. I guess my PS4 copy will be extra smooth, lol.
Thanks for the well wishes everyone! A little history, my buddy Mike and I worked at this very location years ago. It was my Saturday job, to go out to eat, to the movie, whatever. We had no kids at the time so it worked out just fine. The store was bought out by people from another country and Mike was let go immediately. I stayed on another month as weekend help, the was then kind of forced to leave.
The store changed hands several times, until a local family decided to make a go at it. I heard Mike was back over there and realizing that my mom was flaking out on her loan payments, decided to see if I could work there weekends. It's been tough, not having any kind of life, but at least I was able to pay that debt without dipping into my own family's budget.
Now we fear the store has been sold again. Why else would the owners not renew the business license? They're not hurting for money, but have always kind of kept us in the dark about what's going on. There's so many things they could have done to bring business but didn't.
Anyway, looks kind of like 2008 again for Mike and I.
Sorry, Travo. That sucks.
