So new Alien game that actually looks interesting.

New game about aliens by L4D guys.

And Playstation Now actually coming out much sooner than expected with TLOU and Beyond already in the service and being shown. We need pricing,

Maybe it's a little like how 1080P upscaled games barely look better than native 1080P ones...

This article on the Oculus Rift is amazing, these guys are going to change EVERYTHING. This is the next big revolution. Its a dream team of the best programmers in the world, they are getting funding from all around, this is a dream project.

There is a ton of info in this article, very interesting read. I cannot wait for this.

http://www.wired.com/gamelife/2013/12/oculus-rift/

By all accounts, that was a turning point. Andreessen Horowitz founder Marc Andreessen had been asking how long it would take for Oculus to conquer the Uncomfortable Valley. “We’ve had to be honest and say it’s soon, but not yet,” Iribe says. After he saw the prototype, though, Iribe emailed Andreessen: “I said, ‘Okay, we’re ready—you need to come down here on the next flight.’”

Chris Dixon was among four people from Andreessen Horowitz who saw the newest prototype. “I’d tried the devkit and thought it was really impressive, but the latency wasn’t quite there in my opinion,” Dixon says. “Going and seeing the new prototype gave me confidence that they were going to solve all of those problems. I think I’ve seen five or six computer demos in my life that made me think the world was about to change: Apple II, Netscape, Google, iPhone…then Oculus. It was that kind of amazing.” (The prototype and functionality that Andreessen Horowitz saw will not be shown at CES, as has been speculated elsewhere.)

Nintendo is bigger than Sony. Just happened today,

;" />

MS is so gigantic compared to the rest. Anyway Sony stock fell, Nintendo flew and right now Nintendo is a larger company than all of Sony.

Yeah, but Valve developed L4D2 (and fucked it up beyond all recognition), so that was why I asked.

So Don’t Starve… kind of slow. Its rogue type but you have to craft stuff so you walk around and cut grass, chop trees, pick fruit. Every time you die you have to start all over doing the boring stuff.

Apparentely the changes are more notable in cutscenes and mostly in Lara's character model. Otherwise the usual resolution/draw distance improvements and some more light sources.

Are people buying N stock because they think it can only improve or is it the winter sales pickup? Oh, China

This is more advanced than string theory.  This is rope theory.

CVG Hands on Playstation Now:

Our immediate impression was positive. The Last of Us ran with commendable clarity and smoothness on a large flatscreen TV with no PS3 console in sight - just a TV, a wireless DualShock 3 and the USB cable that had been used to pair the two dangling out of a USB port on the side of the display.

image_302163_620.jpg Zoom The Last of Us was playable at CES 'streamed' to a Bravia TV

Glancing over to the PS Vita booth we saw Beyond: Two Souls looking absolutely stunning on that small OLED screen, running with no notable loss in clarity or smoothness.

But there was one major crux; both demo stations were streaming this slick, smooth gameplay from servers located no farther than the next room. What's more, Sony reps at the event confirmed to CVG that neither were streaming wirelessly either. Both were tethered to those extraordinarily local servers via a wired connection (the development Vita in use features wired connectivity not present in the retail unit).

Clearly, then, this was far from a real-world test.

This is what I was concerned about. I knew that they wouldn't show a demo in anything less than an ideal situation so it wasn't going to really going to reflect Now's performance. However, they weren't even doing it wirelessly. That's some bullshit right there!
