Why do we need another MGS remake?
Yes, but he implied that the 3D Mario's were selling poorly. These numbers show that they are selling really wel and selling better that all 2D platformers except NSMB series. Also his conclusion that they are only 2 SMG's because of sales is somewhat simplistic and weird.
First of all there are 2 3D Mario platformers in a single generation. Which is a record. The gamecube and the N64 only had one.Obviously they were selling really wel that a sequel was made. Also it is weird he is comparing the Galaxy's to 2D platformers in general. If he compared 2D to 3D platformers in general, his case would be stronger.
But I think that the reason we have so little 3D platformers is because they are harder to make. Level design is more complex, you need to take into account the camera, controls are tougher to get right and so on. So sales are a big factor too, but they are not the only factor. Not even close.

I think Nintendo did fund it which is why it's not on the HD Collection.
Yes, and it was made by silicon knights.Konami should just release an HD remake for Wii U then. I'm sure Nintendo wouldn't mind.
Nintendo Funded it because Nintendo and Silicon Knights made Twin Snakes because Kojima wanted Snake in Super Smash Bros.
They included multiple Nintendo references like having Mario toys in Otacon's office and Psycho Mantis recognizing if you played Nintendo games.
SUPER MARIO MAKER LEVELS:
The only way Nintendo could get a Metal Gear title on their console is by developing it themselves. Because like usual, Konami couldn't be bothered.
Just beat Last of Us and started Ni No Kuni right away.
I may be setting myself up for not being able to play any games for a whil after this. Maybe I'll find a way to get a hold of Saint's Row 4 by the time I beat Ni No Kuni.
