BUT WTF NINTENDO. 4-8pm on wed and 4 hours on saturday?! How do you screw this up so badly. Now I am going to have to wait in line or some crap cause its only available for 4 hours. Seriously. Damnit!
Knowing Best Buy the employees will either:
a) Have the Wii U E3 demo stations set up and operating 4 days in advance and leave them operating for several weeks until some kid rips the Wii U pad off entirely.
b) Not have them up at the designated time/ day, be informed by a customer and then hastily assemble the Wii U E3 demo stations and leave them operating for several weeks until some kid rips the Wii U pad off entirely.
The only one that is having it close to me is 45 minutes to 1 hour away in Pittsburgh depending on traffic.

Pretty much. Though with such a specific time table I assume Nintendo reps will be on hand. That said 4 hours, its going to be a MAD HOUSE. Do you know how many game freaks we have in Miami. They will come from everywhere to try it. And then what, you wait in line and play it for like... 10 minutes max? only one demo per person? How are we supposed to try all the E3 demos? You know everyone is going straight for Mario, maybe some Smash as well but the other demos will be totally ignored.
This is terrible.
If it was happening in my neghborhood I would drive by, stick my head in and see how much madness there is. If any, I'd leave.

I don't see how anyone who loves games woudl buy these things. Imagine a Barbie doll collectro doing the same thing.
No wonder Vivendi is trying to sell their Activision stock. This was supposed to take the baton from WoW. 2016? What does the gaming landscape even look like by then?

I had heard rumors about there was going to be a massive delay of some kind shortly after you told me that this game existed on a podcast a few months ago. I didn't know what to think, but yeah... this is going to be a hell of a blow to Activision. They can take it just based on the money they still make from WoW, but this completely opens the door for EverQuest next now (which gets unveiled in August). I suspect that the overhaul may be in part due to how dramatically different EQN is going to be than what everyone originally thought it would be. WoW borrowed more than a few concepts from EQ, and I suspect Activision isn't above doing it a second time.

^In reading the Gamasutra article, Blizzard is starting from scratch on Titan (which is amazing considering development began in 2007 and they had a playable version in 2011).
Between this, and Valve eating their lunch with Dota2, Blizzard's future is certainly not as bright as their present.

It's funny you use The Walking Dead as an example given that the videogame's achievements are exactly like that, and are just as stupid and annoying as what you described.
