Can't you just tell it not to install it and play it offline?

Problem finally fixed. I found a post on Sony's forums that told me to try this: I deleted everything GOW from my PS3 HDD, disconnected from PSN, and booted the game, ignoring patch 1.07 update. I then went into Multiplayer, and redownloaded all of the patches. The game works fine now. I then retrieved my saves from the PSN+ Cloud, and I can finally play the game. I'm seriously thinking that this will be my last console. It's only going to get worse next-gen.

In this reading I am amazed by how many big names cross paths with id in the early days.  George Broussard, Tim Sweeny, Mark Rein... so many more. It's and insane story.

Also re-learned it was Carmack who was the first to say that story in gaming is like story in porn, it's expected to be there but no one pays attention to it.

I somehow read that as ...  Masters of Dune, and was left confused by what followed.

For some reason I hadn't listened to much of Apollo's work prior to his Ghost tape.  I intend to put that wrong to right very shortly.  After recommendations, I will be listening to Trophies, Dice Game, Daily Bread and his instrumentals Clouds and the Reset.  Anything else I should add to that list?

Nope. Honestly I've just heard Trophies and Daily Bread. Trophies is better, but Daily Bread is good too, it just gets slightly repetative after awhile. Dice Game...how had I not heard of that?!

Exactly, that's why I'm surprised. I think I may actually have heard of it pre-release, but lost track of it before it was release and forgot its existence.

I'm downloading The Last of Us demo now (GOW Ascension owners get early access). Damn, this is going to take a while.
