If E3 is irrelevant, why is everyone hoping to get involved?
Because E3 is like Pamela Anderson. In the 90's it's something we were all infatuated with, and still pretty hot for most of the 2000's. But now its showing it's age and its really past its prime and no one really wants to admit that they can find something just as good if not better on the internet. In the meantime though, we'd still put our dick in it.
That all made more sense in my head. I probably should refrain from posting until I've had coffee in the morning.

I am re-reading (for the third time) Masters of Doom. Vader and Foolz, the first two chapters are a bit dry, as the author is introducing a lot of gaming history to a general audience. But it heats up pretty well after that.
In this reading I am amazed by how many big names cross paths with id in the early days. George Broussard, Tim Sweeny, Mark Rein... so many more. It's and insane story.
Also re-learned it was Carmack who was the first to say that story in gaming is like story in porn, it's expected to be there but no one pays attention to it.

Consoles being online sucks balls. I wanted to play God of War Ascension, but there's a 624MB patch I needed to install. I installed it 4 times, and it failed all 4 times. WTF? Now my console won't turn off or do anything else because it's doing an "Automatic Update". ALL I WANT TO DO IS PLAY THE FUCKING GAME I BOUGHT, SONY!
Good. They need to think long and hard about RE.
5th install, and it failed again. Fuck this.
