Oh another little event in the god damned cluster fuck that is my eShop card. I went back to Gamestop tonight and the guy at the counter was helpful (mark your calendar it's a first), and he was able to get me the code off the back of the card. Problem solved! So I go to re-enter it and voila..... it still doesn't work. Once again I call Nintendo customer service and they tell me they can't validate whether or not the code is correct/valid/used or whatever because I still need another code off the back of the card to properly identify it. Bullshit I say, but what are you going to do?

I don't especially like his work, he's not particularly insightful or seemingly intelligent, but whenever I listen to an interview with him (and there are quite a few out there this week) I get lost in what he is saying.  On reflection when you go back and think abuot what he said it is all pabulum, but while you are listening it all makes so much sense.

Pachter is the same, if you listen to his interviews.  While he is talking you are like, "yeah, uh huh, makes sense" but then he stops talking your brain kicks in and goes, "hang on a minute!"

He seems to have become stupider with each Bioshock IMO. I went from thinking during Bioshock interviews "well, yeah that's an interesting concept for a videogame" to "you cannot genuinely be that stupid after doing research for your subject" with Infinite. My apologies if he didn't do any research. Then he's not stupid, he's just ignorant.

But they've all been written ones.

Gonna make this brief because I need to leave to catch a train.

I inadvertently let one of my prejudices show there and of that I am ashamed. I was not aware that Petit was transgendered, believe it or not. What a lot of people don't realize is that when you bunch people into a "community" (the LGBT "community" specifically) there tends to be resentment that builds between members of that community. Being Gay is ---NOT--- the same as being transgendered, and the vice-versa is true, as well. There's groups within the "community" that tend to be on either side of an argument: Playing the hand that you are given, or Folding and getting a new hand, for lack of a better way to put it. Although I try to stay out of the argument, I must say I've had A LOT of run ins with transgendered people in my lifetime (none of which involved a fish, sorry GME) and none of them have ended positively. In the simplest terms, the guys that trans into women tend to be very bitchy and sarcastic and the women that trans into men tend to overcompensate and become incredibly socially awkward.

I'd rather NOT known about Petit.

Out of respect for you and Travo, Aspro, I'll apologize and not comment on Petit as a person again...

...but her reviews are fair game...

Knowning what I know now and seeing how she's reviewed games in the past, doesn't surprise me and unfortunately strengthens that bias in my head more than anything. Sorry. If anyone needs further explanation, they can PM me. If not, for me at least, the subject is closed.
