Oh hey and on another note, when you're buying a laxative at the drug store, don't bother trying to flirt with the cashier.
Mansion is ---AWESOME--- and (next to Fire Emblem) the BEST 3DS game so far!
Everyone who loved the original is going to ---LOVE--- this one, and even if you didn't...
Luigi is irresistibly cute and funny, the 3D is amazing and the game just ooooooozes with personality!
I ---LOVE--- the way Weegie hums along with the music and is soooo much more vocal than Mario!
I played a few more hours yesterday and love the intensity of the declassified challenges. This Gears does more with the environment. For example, you have to fight through dense dust that makes it hard to see in front, while Horde member charge you and attack with cleavers. Or maybe in a room full of toxic gas that distorts your view. You also find yourself in a neighborhood full of tripwires and sentinel turrets that attack the enemy and you. The challenges really do add something new.
The graphics really show that this gen is becoming long in the tooth. They are mostly unchanged since the first Gears seven years ago. In fact, I made some comparisons and Gears 1 looks slightly better at times. I thought its because Judgment has much more color, but at times it looks like Gears 1 has more shading and textures.
Anyway, it's still a lot of great fun, especially if you choose to do the Declassified missions.
I just thought of something... no one has my new 3DSXL friends codes...

If you are planning on playing anything online (Luigi's Mansion -- Scare Scraper), please make a note of them and send me yours again! PM is probably best, so they don't get lost in the shuffle of the News Section!
Already added Vader, Travo and Bugsie from the Online Topic in the Games Forum!
Who else? Archie? Hamster?
Robio, you got rid of yours, correct? Who else?
I've been playing these:

What about you, my fellow minimalist gamers?
I've been playing:
I've been playing Monster Hunter 3-U just about exclusively since I got it.
Already logged on over 20 hours in the last 5 days. Once upon a that wouldn't seem like such a big deal, but it's been a long time since I've played a game that much.
The one break was when I hit my arcade/bar place. They got a new Player's Choice system set up and I played Rad Racer for a while. I used to be good at that game.
Holy ****, yes Nintendo! This is the kind of boss fight that I expect from a Nintendo game: multipart battle that requires all of your skills that you have acquired. The first mansion boss is just incredible, guys.
I'm playing Luigi's Mansion 2, btw. I also played a good bit of Gears of War:Judgment.
Double post, but its worth noting again that LM2 is indeed awesome.
I haven't been able to play nearly as much Monster Hunter as I would have liked, but it's only because soooooooooo many great games came out at once! Just killed my first Great Jaggi. I've done all of the One-Star Quests and most of the Two-Star now. Went to the new Port, got sent on one of those "Tours" and got my ASS KICKED by a Bear with a crab-like Exoskeleton. He WAS NOT in the Wii Version! So much content, it's almost overwhelming!
I wish they had a bar like that near me. I've heard there's one in Brooklyn, but I haven't come across it yet...
WATCH. THIS. NOW!
Damn, I really want to get Luigi's Mansion 2, but my recent spending spree has left me with waaay too many games to play! Plus Bioshock's coming out on Tuesday. Too many games!
Thankfully, I'm a minimalist gamer, or I'd be in real trouble.
Oh man...I fucking loved Rad Racer when I was a kid. I still remember vividly all the good times when I'd wake up in the middle of the night & my brother would be in my room playing on my TV, so I'd get up & we'd play for hours. Great memories.
That game is a great example of gaming back then. Primitive, yet beautiful, and you could let your imagination fill in the blanks.
