Bear.
My new system is awesome. Keep in mind in my country it costs a lot more for this stuff, so in the US this would have been a $550 system
Here this was a very good value.
And mouse speakers, case etc... $953 including tax.
Very happy with it. It's been running for 13 hours today completely silent, fan still has not kicked in.
That is hilarious. Same exact thing. All three. I wonder how many others. We heard about the broken hinges (which was the least bad as it didn't affect gameplay) but not many were vocal about touch-screen and trigger buttons packing in.
I don't have a DSi or a DSiXL, I should maybe get one of those even though I could technically use my 3DS, though I think I'd prefer not to use that other than for 3DS games
___
Listen to Wu-Tang and watch Kung-Fu
That's exactly the problem. We accept these problems and sanction off using systems because we don;t want them to die prematurely.
I'd even prefer that these things had replaceable batteries so they'd last beyond the generation, but no-one thinks that way anymore. If they break you just get a new one.
Anyway, that's your Abe Simpson moment from Aspro for today.
Nice PC Asproooo
I would happily pay more for a console that wasn't a piece of crap with a life span of under 5 years or less. I cringe when people get so annoyed with console prices. In the one sense it sucks that you're paying so much for something unproven that has a good chance of failing not just technologically, but it's this sort of attitude that leads to crap being produced for less. How many people have spent $400 on a console, then $300 on it again when it's broken? Wouldn't it just be better to spend $500 or $600 on it initially and not have to re-buy it?
It's probably irrelevant, actually. It's beneficial to companies to spend their R&D in places other than reliability and build quality as people either have, or believe they have, enough disposable income to keep buying the same piece of extraneous technology multiple times. So keep on complaining, people. And at least it is extraneous technology, though, as opposed to something more necessary which will have had a lot of money spent on R&D in regards to reliability and how to get it to cease functioning at exactly the right point in time.
Aspro, that's some PIMPIN PC you've got there. Be prepared to jump through some hoops with W8, though. Last I checked W8 support for lots of games was still wobbly.
The Activision employee (who doesn’t represent the opinions/views of everyone at Activision) told me the following:
“Activision didn’t expect much from Wii U sales of Black Ops 2, but they sure didn’t expect it to be that abysmal. Activision gave Wii U owners the best version of Blops 2 with Off TV features, and Nintendo fans didn’t support it. It’s easy for Nintendo fans to trash publishers for not giving them ports, but publishers have wisened up. They realize Nintendo fans are all talk. Nintendo fans are vocal with their mouths, but when it’s time to open their wallets, they’ll spend that $60 on New Super Mario Bros instead.”
When I asked him about what his industry friends at other publishers think of the Wii U, he told me the following:
“There’s just no enthusiasm for it. The only reason publishers are still going to bring games to Wii U is because they don’t want to damage their relationship with Nintendo.”
This seems like the trend with most 3rd party publishers these days (aside from Ubisoft and a few others.)
I’ll be at Pax East and GDC to talk with developers and see if opinions on the console are a lot better.
http://calvinhalluncensored.wordpress.com/2013/02/23/activision-not-happy-with-blops-2-wii-u-software-sales/
It looks almost exactly the same to me. The video compression dulled the colors a bit, and it's not as sharp as it should be, but it still looked fine, at least in 2D mode.
Besides, no more waggle makes 3DS verison >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>.Wii version.
Really? I thought it was just above average (in terms of what was out there).
So far so good on the gaming front but I've only tried low level games like Dear Esther and Retro City Rampage (which is funny when you think about it).
Good infos GG. Closer to DICE I had heard that a "major" publisher was not so quietly expressing their disappointment at the sales of a title on the U that they expected to sell in the millions and fell far short. Given Ubisoft's delay of Rayman, I thought that publisher may have been Ubisoft but looks like it was Activision based on your excerpt.
Your graphics card is well above average. That can handle any game out there at least close to max settings.
"And obviously the DualShock 4 has improved SixAxis motion sensing so motion gaming is possible with the new controller”.
Why would they continue with the Sixaxis when nobody liked it or supported it on PS3?
Because motion gaming is the most necessary UNnecessary feature in gaming of the past decade.
Devil Survivor 2: Break Code announced for 3DS
This is cool news. Atlus hinted as much about this a couple months ago. I've heard this was a bit better than the original. I think I can safely the 3DS now has enough of a library that I'm willing to give it another go once the next price break comes along.
Nah, Sony just likes to cram as much shit into their hardware just so they can add it to a bullet list on the box.
Just another bulletpoint for the back of the box for parents doing comparison shopping -- only thing I can think of.
=-=- In the latest Gamespot podcast, Gameplay Episode 31, Crytek CEO Cevat Yeril has some very thoughtful and interesting things to say about the next console generation. He is typically a quote whore/ troll, but now I hear him it sounds like he is just candid and a little bit gnglish as second language, so perhaps some of those inflamatory quotes of his are somewhat mis-interpreted.
