I'm just not interested enough to ever want to pick up ZombiU. I'd rather spend the money on other games.

Hey I'm not sure if anyone caught the new PSN releases, but there's a cool PS2 Classic getting released - Chulips. It's a really weird game, and tough as hell to describe. It's sort of an adventure game where the focus is on kissing..... a lot of the design and core gameplay elements were actually taken by the development team and used in Little King Story though, so if that game did it for you, you may want to give this one a shot.  Poor game never really got a fair shake due to being released at the end of the PS2's cycle due to multiple publisher delays, and didn't have the polish that games of that time really were expected to have. Anyway it's a quirky Japanese game (that's pretty much a genre right?), and you may want to give it a try. For $10 it's worth it.

I still have it sealed.  In North America it was gamestop exclusive on valentines day (it came with a key chain).

Nothing can eclipse HOTD Overkill for camp fun. Nothing can eclipse Condemned for FPA scares. So... I agree.

I think I will start Ass Creed 3 next.

You'll be playing on PC right?  I'm interested in the game (ie I'll probably be getting it when it drops in price) but it now seems very notorious among the community for being a glitch fest (at least the console versions).  I hope they patch/fix it somehow.

Everything I have heard about AC3 has killed off my interest. I tried 1, hated it. Was convinced to try 2 and BroHo. Heard Revelations was a let-down and now 3 sounds like a full dud.

I got the Vita AC3 for free, I'm interested to see what it is like.

Hey I finally made some progress after being frustrated at  Zombie U Watching Edge looting my pack, motivated me. I made it to the second save outside the palace with weapons and ammo finally, I was getting ass kicked without any supplies. This game is intense, I'm glad I decided to rebuy it.. It was cool edge that you got my my pack if I couldn't, though it did piss me off LOL. It is truely a great launch game. Now that I'm into it more. I will finish it I'm sure, but I'm doing it slow.

We're at the same point. I like that the game is hard but fair.

I heard the Vita one is really good.  Hope my friend (who has the Vita) gets it at some point so I can borrow it.  When I first played the original game I thought it was a snoozefest and I quickly wrote it off.  Then I was interested in playing ACII and asked here if I should give the first AC another try.  Most people here said I should, so I did, and I liked it well enough.  I enjoyed the assassination missions and the viewpoint climbing.  ACII I totally loved.  I thought it was an incredible game.  BroHo is more of the same but mostly good.  Revs is still more of the same, largely good, but starting to wear thin on me at this point.  I was really excited about ACIII but reviews and gamer reaction left me expecting a lot less

Played the Ni no Kuni demo last night. Half of it anyway. It's nice to see Level 5 FINALLY doing something again on the level of what they were doing on the PS2. Layton games are great, DQ9 was as good as a handheld RPG could ever be, and we won't bother speaking of White Knight whatever, but none of that was ever quite as good as games like DQ8, Dark Cloud 2 and possibly Rogue Galaxy (which I never played but still would like to).  Anyway if anyone had a doubt they still do cell-shaded games like no one's business.  This game just looks freakishly good. And from what little I've played it really look like we have a genuine Level 5 epic on our hands again.

As far as the demo goes it's split into 2 sections. One is a boss battle (the first one I assume) and after that it leads into some overworld exploration where your goal is to make it back to a town. The battle system takes some getting used to. It is not just a turn based jRPG. You fight with familiars and you all share the same HP/MP.  So you have to balance switching back and forth between yourself and your familiar so that you're in the best position to fight the boss, heal yourself, etc. You're also given freedom to move around the battle area. That lets you pick up items that are available during combat. It may also help with positioning in battles but I couldnt' quite judge that yet.

I only had a few minutes to mess with the second half of the demo. It takes place much later in the game so you're signficantly more advanced. You're on a volcano about to explode so you're running around trying to dodge gysers and lava and such, and occasionally going into battle. Didn't get much further than that, but maybe tonight. Anyway if you were into DQ8 or any of their PS2 era classics check this out. It's a big download though around the 2.5 GB mark so be prepared.
