So sad to see no excitement for Halo 4 around the web. Has it really come to this, is Halo no longer that giant monster.
I just arrived in some small town in the middle of florida. As I am driving I come across a sign for a mall, and you know these things have logos for the shops in the mall. Well this had GS but also had a message under it that said MIDNIGHT OPENING HALO 4. I have never in my life seen a GS get a message on a sign like that. That was put there just to spite me.
I can't be sure, but I think there are some midnight launches, I saw quite a few stories on it during my scanning for stories for the updates over the past few weeks. I didn't think it was worth posting. I didn't think you guys were the camp out at midnight crowd?
Didn't the devs say they needed like 3 million sales for a sequel or something?
It's because everyone knows what to expect from Halo, there is nothing to talk about. It's Halo.
Here are a few stories if you want to look through and see if there are any Wii U midnight launches in your area. It seems to be on a store by store basis but Gamestop seems to be not participating.
Walmart to have midnight launch for Wii U, receiving stock starting on Nov. 14
Walmart internal memo on Wii U preorders, shipments arriving on Nov. 14th, midnight launch
GameStop Wii U midnight release uncertain
Best Buy sharing info on stores participating in midnight Wii U launch, in-store demos
Toys R' Us may hold Wii U midnight launches
Since we are near launch, well for the USA and Canada, I'm going to post some highlights from the Wii U Screenshot thread which everyone has ignored, probably because it takes 10 years to load.
These screens are from today.
Only like 3 BBs in my city are having a midnight. Very few GS will have one. Walmart is open 24 hours so that doesn't count.
But it doesn't matter any more cause for the first time on this job I have a flight arriving on Sunday, out of very week of the entire year this is the one it happens on. So whatever.
I just got back with Halo 4, and I think I have to confirm an annoying new trend in the games industry to those of you who have Resident Evil 6:
Halo 4 also has no fucking instruction manual! The 2nd high profile game in the past month with no manual...all it has is an Xbox Live Trial slip & the background of the case has photosensitive warnings. Is this an industry wide practice that has taken affect suddenly? 2 big games from 2 completely different companies suddenly have no manuals?
Fucking lame.
Granted, I never really look at the instruction manuals to actually READ things, unless its a very complicated game. But I just like having nice looking manuals with cool pics in them that look well done...it just makes the whole thing seem like it has more effort behind it.
Though I guess it could be an improvement over the gigantic manuals with 10 different languages in them that Nintendo has been using the past 6 years.
If a game is done right it doesn't need a manual, but most games have little quirks they forget to tell you which you only find out when you read the manual.
Is this their answer to the Wii U screen? Or is it their portable Xbox, finally? 7 inch screen?
EDIT:
Oh shit, hooks up to a stationary device. This is their Wii U.
Happy voting day Americans!
On this day they like to pretend that your vote actually matters. It doesn't.
Voting is useless.
I say if you vote, you have no right to complain!
Sort of as expected for me really. Around 9 there or thereabouts. Another solid Mario RPG. When I get a new game (maybe Christmas?), this will be it.

Around 9 is solid now?! God damn you guys are though to please.
Considering the pedigree (Paper Mario 64 (10), Paper Mario TTYD (10), Super Paper Mario (
), yep around 9 is solid I'd say.
