Like a schmuck I couldn't resist and I broke down and rented the Game of Thrones game. Finished the first chapter last night. It's not quite as bad as the reviews have said. Then again it's still early and I haven't had time to get sick of it yet.
When I first heard about that guy I thought it was just some promotional gimmick that was being put on by the guy who runs the horror convention I was at over the weekend. Knowing him maybe it still is...
Oh and Game of Thrones should be called Game of Cut-Scenes. Its basically a bunch of walking around thats interrupted with cut scenes and very occasionally a battle. Its not quite as horrible as the reviews have made it out to be. . . but it's damn close.
Max Payne 3 . . . yeah, I'm not liking this game. I greatly enjoyed the first two, but this one is not for me. Feels like a cinematic acid trip with lots of long and frequent cut-scenes. Bleh.
Once again Redbox has saved me $$$. Thank you, Redbox!
This is exactly the same problem with Max Payne 3.
This becoming an issue with a lot of games lately. Aspro mentioned something like this in a game he was playing on a recent podcast (possibly Binary Domain?) and I remember Leo said he had a really long stretch of no combat in Asura's Wrath.
Diablo 3 doesn't have that problem.
