I was going to get that, but then they announced Pikmin 3.
Nintendo UKs website rocks. The Xenoblade download doesn't work and the contact form never submits.
You think? That is a sure bet.
This is from the EDGE mag Xenoblade review, it explains the battle system better than I did.
Let's see what the Gamescon RE Revelations demo was like, the snow level.
So level like structures in different locales? Different from the one big continuous RE world in 4 and 5. Controls are... interesting.
Vader, what are the controls like in the Mercenaries 3DS? I heard that Revelations has first person aiming because of the small screen. Is this a problem in 3rd person on Mercenaries?
It's been said Revelations will have an option for first/third just like Mercs.
The size of the screen shouldn't matter if the field of view is the same.
Edit: your gamespot quote speaks of the over the shoulder view.
The optimist proclaims we live in the best of all possible worlds
while the pessimist fears this is true.

I've only seen that in the video where Chris is crippled on the floor. I'm wondering if that is a one off moment or if you can aim over the shoulder in regular gameplay, because the first person view looks awkward and ugly.
Played more Xenoblade, tried out the classic controller - it's useless. Well, it's good for the camera as you can freely rotate but you still have to hold down a button and then press A and B to zoom in and out. But it has a fatal flaw in the combat stakes.
In the game you use the analogue stick to move your character about and avoid attacks and move in to attack. When you are using the chuk and mote, you can freely use the d-pad on the remote to select special moves and healing and still move your character at the same time. With the classic controller to use the d-pad to select special moves in a realtime battle you have to take your thumb off the left stick so are rooted to the spot. Unless you can change the movement to the right stick and camera to left stick on the CC - it's no good. And frankly the regular CC I have (not the pro) isn't very comfortable anyway.
I toyed around with item selection, it's easy because it tells you on the stats page when an item is benefitting you or if it will lower your stats with simple red for bad, blue for good colours. And the "arts" essentially special moves or healing abilities all have a bar which represents how much you have upgraded them so it's all very easy to keep track of and to use action points to improve the arts skill level.
Mine hasn't been dispatched either but it doesn't bother me yet as I won't be home till the end of the month so it has to be there waiting for me by then.
They've been very reliable for me. The only thing that happened on occasion which annoyed me is that they sent me new games which weren't sealed. That's a pet peeve of mine

Yes, and that is true. The day before yesterday I did something stupid while working on a vehicle. Exercise doesn't make you Superman.
UGLY.
Compare that to the Kaz Hirai original: (Note the brushed metal):
None of the big publications have let their Deus Ex reviews out yet. I wonder if it was only given to them on the day of release. Just 3 magazine reviews (which are not known for their credibility) rangin from 85 to 100.
I have to think the website reviews will start to hit today.
Yeah, the brushed metal looks so much classier. Have they just switched to cheapo plastic to get the price down? It's not even nice shiny plastic, it's like game gear plastic.
That's what I had assumed. The screen is much nicer on models 2000 and particularly 3000 (and this one).
It has been announced that Xenoblade Chronicles, due to release tomorrow across Europe, is facing serious stock shortages. Nintendo of Europe seems to have not expected the great demand for their latest JRPG and so are dealing with both high-street and online retailer shortages.
The online retailer ShopTo.net tweeted earlier; “Due to the unexpected late demand for Xenoblade Chronicles the publisher (Nintendo Europe) has experienced great stock shortages of this title.”
Glad I got this early now.
"Great stock shortages" before the title is even on sale in shops. Bodes well for the USA and Canada, if Reggie is watching.
Ubisoft's DRM. So far this year this has been their stance:
1. Always on DRM is required for our PC games.
2. Settlers 3 doesn't work. Okay, not all our games will have always on DRM.
3. Actually, always on DRM has been a "great success" it's here to stay.
4. Oh except for From Dust, it certainly won't have always on DRM.
5. Ah, except it does, sorry about that. But Driver 2 won't have always on DRM.
6. Oh, except for the DRM that is there when you start the game. You need to be on the internet when you start.
I got NyxQuest last night for the Iphone for $1. $1!!!
It was a special promotion, it ended today. Its the same as the Wii, but for $1.
Four PS3 games added to the platinum range in September: Killzone 3, Little Big Planet 2, Motostorm 3 and GTA5. 15 pounds each and they still feel like brand new games. Have LBP2 and Killzone 3 but I may get GT5 to scratch that itch until Forza 4.
PS I like the PSP cheapo. I may get one
