The developing nations always get technology last so they get the better tech, that's why it's so slow in the US. I'm guessing that's why the US is 110 V and most of the world has a much higher domestic voltage by default.
Dudes, it's pretty obvious GG isn't digging us. Ever since Dolphingate. If he's annoyed by us don't make it worse by poking him with a sharp stick.
THQ 50% off on PSN:

Sounds like Costume Quest and Stacking are in our future.
and on Xbox:
Xbox 360 Gold members have a lot to celebrate this week. Mass Effect 2 joins several Microsoft franchises like Gears of War 2 and Halo in a huge 50 percent off DLC sale.
Mass Effect 2 won a member's choice vote to discount most of its add-on DLC.
Ooooooh Costume Quest. I've been in the mood for a classic RPG for quite some time. After the disappointment that was Limbo perhaps this will cheer me up.
Kinectimals getting Bears:
In other words, I don't have the foggiest idea what the hell you are talking about. Please lower yourself to mine plane of existence so that my feeble mind can comprehend you.
What countries get technologies first? The rich ones that develop the technology in the first place. So, for example, when the US invented the telephone and rolled out the infrastructure it was copper. That infrastructure has largely remained in place even though later technologies that were far superior, like fiber, have come along because the existing infrastructure is too important to remove/upgrade en masse. So they only upgraded in high population centers.
Developing countries have the ability to adopt the most recent technology without being constrained about the concern of an existing infrastructure.
This ludicrous response was mostly triggered by your "suck it bitches" comment -- as if faster internet is something that is a point of national pride -- I was cheekily pointing out that sometimes it is superior to be a pioneer rather than the one that sits back and capitalizes on the ingenuity of others.
Yup. I think that was the straw on the camel's back.
I have another theory. I call it the replacement theory. After studying the behaviour of the member of the VG Press for years, I finally am going to reveal the fruits of my labour.
The theory is that when a member of the VG Press leaves another member takes over his characteristics. When GG left, I had trouble crapping and I think someone was posting pictures and complaining the pictures did not show the true quality of the game.
GG is replacing ASK_Story, see his why I appreciate Sony thread. That is definitely something ASK would usually do. Trying is darnest to find positives even if it flies against any kind of logic what so ever. And like ASK GG came to realization that his real life is not where it should be, so like ASK he took a break with the VG Press.
Of course.
I might be able to snag a copy of FFXII used, the one in a tin box. How is the game, for the people that played it?
Boxart: Frank West is a sleazebag now
Also,
Eurogamer's most recent podcast #76 has an excellent discussion of the business side of console gaming, and the changes it faces in the short term. They have some splendid analysis.
Can you shoot it with a rocket launcher?
And the truth as to why you've been pimping Supernatural has been revealed.
True, but Oblivion sucks compared to Morrowind.
For some stupid reason I installed my 1999 copy of Unreal Tournament today. Probably because I've been enjoying III so much.
So it installs and runs fine. I was like, I wonder if I can get this to play online (and if there will be anyone online playing it). So I click on Multiplayer->Internet. The program tells me I need to configure my Internet connection first. Oh shit, here we go. So I go into internet settings. There is one pull-down menu to slect if I am using a 28.8 modem or Cable/DSL. I select DSL.
Bam. I'm online with tons of active games to choose from. I'm in a deathmatch immediately.
PC wins again.
Yoda says it is crap. Don't buy it, he might just ban you.
And what a beatiful troll it was. Even going as far as calling the Netherlands and South Korea developing countries.
A good troll is never concerned about the facts.
And Vader says it is good, so obviously it actually is crap.
Vader actually said the the Dark Knight is the best superhero movie ever. He said that watching LoTR trilogy is giving him orgasm that makes his whole body tremble. He felt the whole emotional spectrum when watching that awful excuse of a movie 'Revenge of the Sith'. Heck he even thought Ninja Assasin was actually good. Hint: it was not.
The last time I heard about such hyperbole was when Hitler claimed the Third Reich would last for 1,000 years.
Xenoblade confirmed for Australia, check the news for more details. So close Aspro, but yet so far.
