Nothing at all like Killzone.  Killzone has a deliberate, heavy feel to it.  Resistance... is pretty much as generic an FPS as you can get, it's hard to describe.

Fallout New Vegas is awesome, I have been playing a lot, like A LOT.  I love these kinds of games, Bethesdas formula is fantastic, no other game offers such huge worlds to explore and to get into random interesting situations. Obsidian did a fine job with this game, its not crazy buggy so far (patches seemed to fix all that) and there are many new features. This is an appetizer to Skyrim but its a damn good one.

I could mention Xenoblade which had absolute gigantic world to explore with tons of stuff to do, but I am not that cruel, so I won't.

GG, the problem with Far Cry 2 wasn't really the size....the size was great. Its that there was zero variety to the game. It would have been ok for a shorter game, but the fact that the missions were just the same shit over and over...and getting chased at the same checkpoints over and over, well, it made the game get very tedious.

Hopefully Far Cry 3 fixes this issue. I definitely love that they're going back to the tropical setting. I miss that.

Yes and what made that bad was the checkpoint fights over and over. You'd think once you wiped out a squad of assholes at a checkpoint, you'd be safe for at least a while before more dudes magically appear and claim it as their own.

Jesus, reminds me of Dead Rising 1, once you cleared the central grass area which was hard to do, they would respawn the next day. The guys have a jeep and a mounted machine gun and I had to use a baseball bat to beat them all the while they were running me over in a fricking jeep. I finally, finally nailed them. Then the game respawned them
