It's that time of the week again bitches. What have you been playing?
Finished the SP campaign of SC II. Awesome game, varied, fun and fast paced even though base building is still micromanagement-intensive. Story takes a nasty nosedive by the end, but it still holds up.
Been playing U2 as well.
I just finished TR Underworld. I bought it last June, so it's fitting that I finally finished it almost exactly one year later, lol. Not as good as Legend or Anniversary, but still good.
I'm now replaying Half-Life 2. This makes it my third time through the game, and it's still a blast.
TR: U is a pretty good game alright.
Thoroughly enjoying DOA: Dimensions!
Getting further in the single player of Crysis 2!
Played a bit more of this BioWare classic.
Started playing a PS3 exclusive, RTS from Portuguese Developer, Seed Studio.
How is the SP of Crysis 2, Leo? I've been considering picking that one up soon.
I'm not the best judge when it comes to FPS, but I like it. The NanoSuit gives you super jumping abilities, Stealth, Super Armor to survive grenade and explosive blasts, enhanced speed and Melee attacks. You have a visor to scan the terrain for tactical advantages like ledges to climb, flanking routes, stealth kill opportunities, etc. The graphics are beautiful. The sound effects are VERY well done. You can customize your weapons and your suit in both the SP and the multiplayer. Overall, I find it to be a lot of fun. Archie is the better person to ask though, he's had a lot more experience with it than I have!
Thanks for the Crysis 2 impressions, Leo. Amazon has it for $40 right now, which is why I'm thinking of picking it up.
Definitely worth it!
I started the gaming club selection Brutal Legend
And a game that I instantly love..
I also can't resist. I gotta get my multiplayer fix with Uncharted 2.
I also started Angry Birds. it's great when I'm at the relatives houe.
Finally, I spent a little bit of time with my free games, Infamous and Dead Nation.
Played this week: Brutal Legend and Dragon Quest 6. I'm probaly about an hour away from finishing either of them.
Not sure what I'll do handheld-wise after DQ6. Probably 999 on the DS. I want to beat DQ 7 and 8 before I start 9.
You may want to wait a little while before starting DQ7.
Just a suggestion.

Yep I wholeheartedily agree. It's very much like 6, but much much longer. You definitely need something to break those two up.
Anyway I pretty much spent the weekend with LBP. I had almost finished the game when I rented it earlier in the year so I only had a couple levels left. Still glad I chose it. Cutest game ever. And as a sidenote, I finally got inFAMOUS downloaded. Took just under 36 hours.
Since it's on the console I probably won't get to it for a while. If I play an RPG on a console I have to finish FF6 first.
And on Infamous taking that long HOLY SHIT.
Can you pause downloading a full game? I'm not leaving my PS3 on for 36 hours straight...
^Yes. If it's downloading when you turn it off it picks up when you turn it back on.
You can check the progress or status of a DL by going into the Network menu, then Transaction History, then Downloads.
My exp in DLing from the southern hemisphere has been fine (so long as you start around now when most of the rest of the world is starting to get off the internet).
Been playing Brutal Legend with the gaming club and Patapon on the psp (in my more private moments).
So far so good with Brutal Legend. Look forward to playing more of it.
Patapon is starting to seriously piss me off. I don't think in fact, that I made any progress at all this whole past week. I'm still stuck at the same annoying level and none the wiser as to how to realistically beat it. Don't think I want to keep playing, I'm sick of games which are hard for the sake of it. This game also does some other things which rub me the wrong way, like having the possibility of getting better weapons and gear for your minions, but then giving you hardly any chance of getting any actual weapons and gear. Giving you the chance to farm and replay certain elements of the game but with completely useless rewards. It's annoying that the game could have been so much better with just a few minor design choices but as it is, it's very annoying
