Still holds up 6 YEARS later!!
I can't get it right now. Too many games in the backlog that I promised myself that I would finish before another game purchase. I should've stayed away from Uncharted 2 and worked on some of the backlog. Plus, we have the gaming club next week. You in?
Brutal Legends...? Nah, tried it and couldn't get that into it... Has its fun moments though! Enjoy!
The next gaming club selection should be Kane and Lynch.![Nyaa](/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/img/smiley-tongue-out.gif)
So I have 9 days of gaming to fill before the gameclub (Having just finished Yakuza 4). Any suggestions?
Obviously anything open world or RPG is off the table.
Just when you think there's no news...
The rumored PSP games on PS3 program is bigger than earlier thought. Sony made it official today.
I've been facing the same dilemma over the last couple of days. I have my PS3 connected at the moment so preferably it should be something for that. After realising I can't get back into Darksiders, I've been thinking one out of: Heavy Rain, God of War III and Prototype. What says you to those?

Go for Iga's favourite.
OK, so opened Heavy Rain and put the disc in the PS3. Lo and behold it wants to upgrade to version 2.0. Something a little over ... hmm 1100MB. Just 106 minutes to wait! Fuck you fuckin sony you and your fucking updates. FUCK
IGA's favourite game has just become mine too

Waiting for the updates to download is by far the best part of the game.
You are right. That's why they put the origami crane in the box for you to make. Seriously though, how does it make sense for a game (actually the platinum, hence "updated" version of said game) coming on a bluray disc, which doesn't even have online play at all, to demand a 1.2GB update download before one can play it? WTF? Is the blu-ray just a download code?

So Police in the UK got a Tiger sighting, they scrambled helicopters and armed police.
They used thermal scopes and finally they found..........
This.
They made it Move compatible. Yeah, that sucked. It took about 25 minutes to download.
What the HELL is up with Little Big Planet? I loved this game when I first started playing, creative level design, funny characters and situations, online co-op. But I just rage quit over one level I simply cannot pass through. Jumping and jetpacking are just incredibly inaccurate to the point where it feels broken. I expect some degree of inaccuracy when I'm using a jetpack, but not like this. It's a complete trial and error mess. Ive played plenty of platformers to know it shouldn't be this fucked up. Playing co-op doesn't help because no one else can do it either.
Did they improve the platforming part in LBP2? If not, then I may pass.
No personal experience but I remember reading that they wouldn't touch the physics so that user created content could work in the new one as well, or something like that. So probably exactly the same, but Vader should know for sure.
Yes they did make it Move compatible but they also made that a different retail disc. Logic it would have it such that the extra code would be on the new "move compatible version" disc.

It is sort've improved. It isn't imprived in the story but the when you create a level you can adjust the physics your self.
It is up to the level creators to decide what type of physics they want for their levels.
SUPER MARIO MAKER LEVELS:
David Cage does not concern himself with puny little things like logic.
You do have the ability to change your jumping physics in LBP2, but the movement is still physic based, so do not expect Mario like control. There is no physic model out there that can mimic what Mario does.
What speed is your internet? That would take me a couple of days to download.
Also, I got a 2nd SDTV hobo price grab. Hooked up my Dreamcast and Gamecube for a perfect picture how the systems should look.
Started up Freedom Fighters. It's been ageeeeeeeeeees since I played this.
Great fun. It's a good 3rd person shooter then you have your squadmates to easily order about.
A couple of minor quirkes, firstly if you are close up to a wall or object and try to aim, your gun goes askew.
Also the aiming is rather stodgy by todays standards. Would be excellent with the wii remote or even with smoother dual analogue aiming. The game reminds me of GTA 4 actually without the driving. Game was obviously made for the PS2 but obviously enhanced for the GC and Xbox. It's pretty cool, makes me wish that GTA 3, Vice City and San Andreas were made for GC and Xbox tech way back. The mission maps are divided into segments and doing objectives in one quadrant affects the other. I was getting ass raped by helicopters on one mission then after I beat it I realised I could have gone to the other section and blown up the helipad would which would have stopped the incessent attacks.
Also booted up Shenmue again.
Will enjoy doing this again.
LBP has horrible platforming. That people consider it a "great" platformer is something that I can't wrap my head around. Game controls like utter shit.
