Well I guess I'm morally obligated to listen now.
Have these been posted yet?#
You're talking to a guy who thinks that most HD games feel like Xbox 1 generation games only with a shinier lick of paint.
I know that's a broad generalisation.
I like good graphics, but I'm overly cynical by nature. It honestly doesn't mean that much to me, like when you start playing a game and at first you are impressed with the visuals and then you sort of forget about them and start actually playing the game and concentrating on the design. Sometimes I feel that developers go too far just because they can, make environments too big and make you either trudge through them or quick travel which makes huge environments pointless. Or put in tons of cannor fodder enemies which are boring to plough through. I feel that a games' design dictates change more than just technology. Like what I said about Mario Sunshine and Mario Galaxy or even REmake and RE0 compared to RE4. Same level tech, totally different and exciting new designs.
Mother fu.........
I'm another who doesn't get Bayonetta.
I don't have fears brother.
I'm just saying that Nintendo will do their own thing, whilst we all want their games to to in this direction, they will say no and won't.
And that 3rd parties will love the power of an HD system because it's easier for them to port, but since we already all own an HD system we could get the 3rd party games there anyway. Even when the cube was more powerful than the PS2 you still saw games like Burnout 3 etc missing the console because sales were lower.
BTW I am watching Lost. Up to season 3 now.
Whenever you and Agnates agree on something, the law states that a "worlds collide" pic must be posted!
I love you guys.
Endless Ocean 2 improved on a ton of stuff from the first game and there was a minor graphic bump. Most of the improvements were all game design enhancements, though I probably liked the locations of the first game more. And the music. Vader, honestly with regards to Endless Ocean, it would be like me talking about Killzone 1, 2 or 3.
i.e I haven't played them I am not familiar with the franchise or the design or the visuals and I might be saying things out of guesswork that really aren't true at all.
Check out our very own Endless Ocean 2 thread, there are pics there that I have taken myself on my wii and uploaded via SD card.
Also the sea doesn't need or want a huge draw distance, in reality the water density means you don't get a clear view to the horizon, there is mostly a natural limit to what your eyes can see almost like moving through a light fog.
They actually improved the foliage in the second game so that it matched the zoom in close ups of the first game. Shows what they can do with experience.
This is the pic Foolz posted - that one was taken via a camera and off a TV screen, mine above is taken via SD card and on an SDTV. None of these pics are Dolphin emulated.
Also they improved the detail on the new fish models. They kept many of the same ones from the first game but the new ones are much more highly detailed like this giant trevelly. And not just in focus mode, but in open gameplay.
Not all of the game looks great, like most pre-360/PS3 games visual quality varies by area, but when it looks good, combined with the ettereal music, and bubbly water sound effects, it can be beautiful to watch and play.
Anyway here are some gifs of EO2 on Wii.
Also, please stop playing Wii on an HDTV.
You know what it does. Also why is Locke holding throat pastilles? I have not seen this episode yet. I just watched Hurley drive an old van down a hill.
Is Saints Row really like this?
More Wii 2 rumours, proabably fake, but whatever:
Rockstar is one of the many major publishers secretly working on Wii 2 titles, claims the latest rumour report from French site 01.net.
According to the site, which last week released supposed tech specs and further controller details for the new console, Nintendo's specifically targeted Rockstar as part of its campaign to 'win back' the hardcore audience.
If true, the move could be a huge win for the platform holder, as - presuming rumours Wii 2 will be more powerful than PS3 and 360 are true - it could have the best looking version of GTA V on its console.
The French site previously released Sony's NGP specs long before the official announcement.
One thing I just thought of, it would be cool if they had a 3DS mode in Wii 2 games where you could wirelessly beam the picture to your 3DS game and play the game with the 3D screen as an option. Also, if someone else is hogging the big TV it would be handy.
Archie, have you chosen your first 3DS game yet?
You had to have seen that episode, its from the first one. Remember that picture, it all makes sense later, kind of...
OMG Mortal Kombat is fantastic!!!!! The bosses are such cheap assholes but I wouldnt have it any other way. It is classic MK done better than ever.
Wow Zelda looks incredible.
Holy crap the Krypt is HUGE. Thats where you spend points to unlock stuff. Well I want to these huge tombs thinking they will give me something cool like a new fatality, nope crappy artwork. Bastards made that seem important.
And I will remind you that EU is not a singular country. And the UK does not count.
I'm going to play EO today. I'm in the mood for a change.
A new standard for fighting games have been set. Mortal Kombat one if not the greatest single player modes ever put into a fighting game. The story mode is incredible, its like playing through a movie. It made me love Johnny Cage, that is how good it is. I feel like I am playing a better version of the Mortal Kombat movie, it is so well done. Its a story and as it progresses you take control of different characters, but its all continous. Its the story from the first game but with all the MK characters from 2 and 3. It brings life to the story in a way no other fighting game has ever done.
There is still classic arcade mode with endings for every character as well. Challenge mode looks like it will be a blast. There is a ton of stuff to unlock. Its hours upon hours of content. Then there is online mode which has brought back the feel of the arcade. There is a mode called king of the hill where you enter a virtual theater and you wait in line and watch other play. The person who wins is king of the hill and stays playing until someone beats him, classic arcade rules. So I entered a room, a guy had a 13 win streak, he beat two more guys and it was finally my turn. Watching him play I knew I could beat him, so i picked Scorpion and started the match. I was a bit nervous, others are watching, you are fighting to dethrone the guy, its a feeling I have never felt in an online fighting game. I whooped his ass and defended my throne for 3 more battles. It was a blast. The big problem though is the lag, most of my fights were almost slide shows but strangely you can still manage to fight well enough so that its playable.
I played the game for four hours straight and only stopped to try out Portal 2. MK is shaping up to be the best fighting game I have played since VF5. I already like it WAY more than SF4, this kind of fighting style is much more my thing and I like actual content for single player mode.
Yes.
They won;t want to release it this year so as not to crowd out Rage.
I typically love Valve, but
at them getting meta-bombed. They deserve it for what they pulled with their buy 13 games, play Portal 2 earlier... maybe.... stunt.
