That's the problem; lack of major 3rd-party games to fill in the later years. It happened with Gamecube because they started to get killed in sales, so they said screw this and focused on Xbox/PS2. And its happening with Wii because, despite great sales, the console is too weak for multi-platform games. Its only natural that Nintendo themselves are going to start focusing on next-gen development about a year & a half/ two years before the system dies out. So without 3rd-parties to fill in the gaps, it looks bad.

Exactly and let's not forget that Nintendo had a good 2010, with Galaxy, Other M (depends on who you ask), Super Mehrio Galaxy 2 and DKCR. This combined with the 3DS kinda ties Nintendo's hand a bit. With Last Story, Xenoblade, Zelda, Kirby, DQX and some unlocalized Wii games (Pandora's Tower, Rangiliev?) they can stretch the Wii to 2012. Nintendo did a good job this gen when it comes to 1st party titles, but Nintendo is just one company and they can do only so much. Third parties are needed to fill the gap.

I knew it.  WHY THE FUCK WOULD THEY HAVE TIM TURI REVIEW IT?

The guy has a track record of hating FPS games on the Wii.  He talks about it on the fucking gameinformer podcast.  He gave Goldeneye 007 a 6.5 (Game informer gave Blacops Wii a 6.5).

I don't think fanboys should be given games to review, I don't think haters should be given reviews either though.  What a fucking joke.

This is what pisses me off about Nintendo.  They have more profit than god and they can't hire enough people to make games for the platforms they have on the market?

IGN says some of the visuals are stunning or something and then Gameinformer says it looks like crap. Either way this game was always a rental or hobo purchase for me after playing the first.

Nintendo's going to have at least a 2 year headstart on Sony and Microsoft. At that point its not going to matter if those machines are superior. This was, as I've said since the beginning, the only advantage Nintendo had of launching an underpowered console in 2006; it allows them to then launch their next machine MUCH sooner without worrying about recouping costs. Of course with the success of Wii I thought Nintendo wouldn't do an earlier launch and would foolishly wait for the competition while milking every drop out of the Wii like a GameBoy. I'm glad they didn't.

The Wii is still going to be on the market for 6 years when all is said and done, a year longer than Gamecube. But it doesn't matter because Sony and Microsoft comitted to holding off on new machines, making it seem like Nintendo is launching early when really they're not. And I think Sony and Microsoft are getting caught with their pants down here as well....I don't think they expected Nintendo to be this aggressive and kick off a new generation, as typically Nintendo NEVER does this.

I'm not even talking about Conduit 2 here.  I'm talking about lack of editorial leadership. Why would a reviews editor assign someone who thinks the Wii is shit and that FPS games on Wii are the shittiest form of gaming a review?  It's poor judgement.
