I wonder if it's some strange policy. I remember when Soulcalibur 3 came out I thought it was odd that the GC version got Link, PS2 got Heichachi, and Xbox got. . . Spawn. Not that he's not an appropriate character, but he's not a videogame character. Seemed strange that they grabbed a comic book character for it.
What character does the 360 version of MK have?
The 360 version did not get one. They got some bonus content (amini-game, an extra fighting arena, a free DLC character "Lady in Red" who will be available for both systems, and other stuff), but no exclusive characters.
What mini-game? So they just have an empty slot in the select screen?
It's some MK puzzle game. I don't know more than that since I don't have a 360 it didn't seem worth my time to research it.
Microsoft doesn't really have any characters that are attatched to their brand. Master Chief yeah, but that doesn't fit in a fighting game.
If you read that article in the news section, Ed Boon REALLY wanted to have Marcus Fenix in the game. Maybe Epic didn't want to go along with it.
Probably not.
Just played 2 hours of De Blob 2.
Got the wii version.
What can I say? Well if you played the first game, everything you thought about that game can be applied to the sequel - except that you have to press A to jump.
I personally like the waggle feeling of flinging a squash ball about and I'm trying to find the option in the game to put it back to that, unsuccessfully I might add.
I got the game because it was 1/3 of the price at game.uk. Graphically it's a smidgen better than the first game, though you wont notice till you are an hour in. They have nice depth of field effects the frame rate is smoother and they have Jett Rocket style reflective shaders on some buildings. Overall it's a subtle improvement though, nothing huge.
There are 2D sections which play as one might assume from the screens. Otherwise there are a few new moves like a Sonic style speed blast and there are cars and flying buses which are frozen in time till you colour them and decide to ride them.
It's De Blob 1 basically, still fun, same structure, not that much different. It's solid stuff but not a sort of must have title.
Glad to finally hear some impressions of it. Pretty much what I figured. Good enough game, but it didn't really seem like a sequel that needed to be made.
Wii 2: Here's what the IGN Nintendo Voice Chat Podcast crew had to say in this week's show...
- should be significantly more powerful than the Xbox 360 and PS3
- “surprisingly” powerful rumor was originally out there two months ago, but it was dismissed early on
- information is coming directly from people who are developing games for the system
- they say the system does exist, and the information is not rumor but unverified
- real controller is comparable to “an iPad stuck in the middle of a Dreamcast controller.”
- six-inch touchscreen in-between the dual analog sticks and triggers
- capacitative screen that is unlikely to support multi-touch
- system will supposedly be “announced in some manner before E3”
- upcoming shareholder meeting on April 26th is the most logical date
- not sure they believe the Rockstar/GTAV rumor
- may see release in first or second quarter of 2012, but late 2012 still seems more likely
- "…developers with kits are saying the controller looks like a standard controller but with an LCD and touch screen fused in the middle"
- "…this would be ideal for co-op types of games where the experienced player could be playing on the big screen, while your Dad or little brother who suck, can play co-op with some smaller type of role being played on a separate controller on the little screen
They are awesome, plenty of time to take a quick dump.
Here is one thing I don't like about De Blob 2 controls. You have to hold A to wall run, where in the first game you just autowall ran and then just jumped away or dropped off. It's a bit weird timing an A button jump when you are already holding down A to wall run.
The pics are Wii 2 controller, we all guess its fake though.
My thoughts exactly. I liked the game, but didn't really feel much need for another one.
Its confirmed; The Nintendo WiiHD is going to kick ass.
Also confirmed; The Wii is going to be useless from here on out, outside of Zelda and hopefully Xenoblade and the Last Story.
Xenoblade is coming, do not worry about that. You might have to import it from Europe, but it is very easy to hack your Wii. No worries here
Pretty cool, love the color:
Wish they would make the console charcoal like that. Sony had a PS2 controller that color at one time, I loved it.
