Wait so Xenoblade might be coming to Europe bot not North America ala Disaster? Because that would be hilarious.
One of the site's forefathers.
Not entirely surprised by that, though I don't think it necessarily reflects the quality of the game in comparison to the rest of the series. The GC was nearly a barren wasteland for RPGs when Wonderful Life came out, and that was the closest thing to it. It filled a void. Plus it was one of the first widely distributed HM game. The SNES and N64 versions were damned near collectors items just a few months after they launched due to being distributed in low numbers. Back to Nature on the PSOne was a little more widely available, though not super huge. It wasn't until they made Save the Homeland, Mineral Town, and Wonderful Life that Natsume even put out quantities that met demand.
That all being said, despite not being a big fan of the game I still think it's pretty good and I'd still say it's probably the best looking game of the series, even to this day (thanks to the ugly-ass Wii installments of the series). My only real gripe with was you had to have a copy of Friends of Mineral Town on GBA to do the stupid connectivity thing to have access to all that the game contained. The PS2 version fixed that, but I'm not sure anyone actually bought it...
This is what the Wii Soft Mod is for.
Guys check out the Euro console numbers
"According to IDG data released by GameStop, the active European games console market in total is around 153m units.
114m of that are current gen machines, which breaks down like this:
- 14.7 million Sony PlayStation 3 units
- 24.9 million Nintendo Wii units
- 13.7 million Microsoft Xbox 360 units
- 14.8 million Sony PSP units
- 46 million Nintendo DS units
The numbers are actually as of December 2010, so you can assume they have risen a touch since."
Wow at the DS number
and thankgod megaman universe was canned it was so ugly it hurt my eyes
Which wife did you guys choose?
I loved this game, especially when you got the little horse and rode about Zelda stylee. The only things that bothered me were that you had to water crops individually.
And there there should have been in game advice on cross breeding and crops etc. I printed out like 20 page from gamefaqs and used it to plan my planting seasons and stuff. Very fun game.
Robio, A Wonderful Life, was my first HM game. I got the gba Magical Melody which was okay, I eventually sold it. I got the GC one after Wonderful life which was never released in europe - until they ported it to wii. I hated it.
I want a HM game.
I want a HM game too. They haven't been able to really hit the right balance in quite some time, at least in as far as the console versions. Hero of Leaf Valley on the PSP was pretty good, despite a few pain in the ass bugs. Back to Nature just got released on PSN. That's pretty good, and I will probably get it at some point, but I've played that game so much I'm not sure how much fun I'd get out of it anymore.
Oh now what the hell is this? Why the hell are they doing this to Burger Time? This remake is so doomed it's pathetic...
So I tested out SFIV on the internet today.
I fight this pitched battle against this one guy, eventually finish him off with a dragon punch. Just as the game goes into slow mo to celebrate my vic..... communication with the other player has been lost.... reset.....
Is this what competitive online is about? The guy was sour he lost, he cut off within 2 seconds of me beating him.![indecision indecision](/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/img/smiley-undecided.gif)
No, I mean, I want a HM game. I don't think I've ever played one.
There are assholes everywhere. Don't play with randoms.
Now, I'm going to freely admit that I haven't played a whole heck of a lot of burger time, but I'm pretty sure you never actively fought the ingreidents!
I mean, it's like Pac-Man taking on the ghosts with a sword and shield!
You do have pepper as a weapon to throw at the enemies to stun them, but it's doesn't make sense why they would do a close-up on it when it happens. The game is like any other arcade puzzle/maze type game where your eyes need to be on the entire screen so you can see where the enemies, obstacles, etc. are. So this screen shot just makes me wonder WTF they're doing.
Yahoo!
They gotta release it stateside.
And a re-commitment for DQ10 on Wii! What a day!
