zombies are to awesome they always make everything better
It's a Natsume game that isn't Harvest Moon, which means I had to buy it. It's not bad, a bit tough actually.
Raven, I was playing San Andreas today and found you.
This should resolve any question as to why Sports Mix is selling like hotcakes in Japan (yes, that's a Slime in a Nintendo game).
Idiotic things Game Informer said today, item #2:
"The Japanese developer is planning to get into publishing with hopes of bringing the JRPG genre back to prominence."
Back to prominance? As in it's been somewhere? Tell that the the FF13 and DQ9 owners. It will take you some time.
Hamster porn?
along with rune factory series, and arc rise fantasia
Where was it told it's selling like hot cakes? I thought it wasn't getting released until the 25th. I don't think slimes will do it, Dragon Quest Swords had a whole lot more than just slimes and did about half a million in a whole year there, a lot of it initially and with little legs, which is great for what it was, but not near real Dragon Quest numbers, despite having the name and everything. Although Nintendo could use another big casual hit, I dunno if this will be it, on any region. Are they actually marketing it as something that could be big like the Wii ___ titles or as just another B tier release since they didn't even develop it, like ExciteBots and Punch-Out!!? It has Mario of course but how did past Mario sports games do anyway? I never gave them much thought, although this looks nicely varied. I only know the Mario & Sonic games did really good and this is close in concept, although it's not mini games...
The optimist proclaims we live in the best of all possible worlds
while the pessimist fears this is true.

Oh! Looks like it's coming out this week in Japan, quite right! I figure though if Mario and Sonic sold as they did adding Square to the equation can't hurt. Of course, I'd never buy it.
So are the Final Fantasy/DQ characters hideously overpowered here too?
We used to have Sunday trading laws in England. No selling nuthin' all day every Sunday.
Aren't you American? Why do you seem to have a problem with what America buys? Most countries have regional buying habits. Some of the stuff Japan buys is barely believable.
How far did you get and why did you return it?
Last Story looks nice.
Bloom is a little high though.
Ack, look at this NBA Jame HD trailer.
They point out the forum posts of people asking for it.
Donkey Kong Country Returns (Wii)
-"...the only bad thing about the game is that it took 14 years to get here."
-"...DKCR moves at a slower, more plodding pace than NSMBWii, and DK's hulking frame makes his movements less sharp and precise than Mario's."
-"DKCR is also a lot harder, which is saying something since NSMBWii can be pretty darn challenging at times."
-"a well-timed second press of the jump button can bounce DK off an enemy and high into the air. But when Diddy is on the ape's back, that same button press triggers the Barrel Jet and screws with the timing of the high jump."
-bosses, while good, "aren't quite up there with the genre's best."
-co-op doesn't have as big an impact because already in NSMBWii
-co-op makes the game more difficult than it already is
Golden Sun: Dark Dawn (DS)
-"If you haven't played the older titles, certain callbacks and cameos obviously won't resonate as strongly, but you're never left confused."
-being able to gain new powers in the game (Psynergy) "allows the dungeons to evolve constantly and keeps you engaged in a way that most RPGs can't."
-the puzzles are at the perfect difficulty level
-battles are easy. Not because of the battle system itself, but because of the enemies. "...the enemies-including most bosses-are such pushovers."
-reviewer took 35 hours to complete the game and never saw a "Game Over" screen
-battle graphics are praised (animations, character models, etc.)
-3d graphics do a better job of telling the story than the 2d graphics from the GBA games
-"Dark Dawn also boasts a quality, if sometimes inconsistent, soundtrack."
-"You can save the game at any time, buying and selling equipment has never been more user-friendly, and there are multiple ways to reduce the frequency of random battles (which are already sparse in the puzzle-heavy areas.)"
-game ends in a cliffhanger
-"Though the final destination may be a bit frustrating, the journey is one worth taking."
Anyone heard of this WiiWare game called Hydroventure in Europe, Fluidity in the U.S?
TRAILER HERE
Seems to remind me of both World of Goo and Soul Bubbles at the same time.
...
I've been following this for about 2 months now. It's a great concept for a game - a puzzle game where you play as water and have to shift between its three states in order to get from one end of a level to the next. Simple, straight forward idea that really allows for a lot opportunities. Can't wait for it.
Do you know who is making it?
I saw the ice state, is the other steam?
Didn't EA say something like, Activision is a publisher built on 3 franchises or something?
I just heard that the new Tony Hawks flopped and Guitar Hero seems to be slowly petering out.
So Call of Duty is the cash cow, and they are expanding the franchise with multiple new developers.
What else have they got?
Bond licence of course, but in terms of large cash generating, reliable franchises?
I'm not saying it was a good game or anything, but that's what Dewey's Adventure was about
