Watch YouTube movies to get the basic idea of the plot of AC1, then play AC2...
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME PLAYING IT ! ! !
Play 1 first, lovely game with a more interesting setting than the second (to me). Sure it can be repetitive, but imo no more than the average modern action game, including the sequel. It's also dirt cheap these days!

Don't listen to this man. Don't deny yourself from the chance of first approaching the outskirts of Damascus, horseback riding, then entering the city to learn about your target.
Like I said before, the key here is keeping chores to a BARE MINIMUM, in order to enjoy the sights, sounds, and breathtakingly crafted gameworld of AC.
i'll get basara next month i love hack and slash games like that, its a shame that american ciritics been harsh to them nowdays

Not that the PSP's piracy problem hasn't already been severely beaten into the ground, but here's just one more reminder of how bad it has gotten. God of War: Ghost of Sparta is scheduled for release nine days from now - Nov. 2nd. Today it has already started to show up on bit.torrent sites. Ouch.
I asked this very same question about a month or so ago. I took Steel's advice and played the first one first and then followed by the sequel immediately. It was the right choice and I am pleased to have done so. The three cities are definitely worth seeing as well as a lot of fun stuff to do. Also climbing view points and the doing a leap of faith for me never got old. Number 2 is much better but you will be pleased to have played the original first as it's a good game in it's own right

Leaks from inside sources are hardly PSP exclusive. Imo the piracy issue on PSP appears more bloated than it is because there's no interest in purchasing the games for it. It's a platform on life support. But if you'll get the stuff for free then you'll get them anyway so piracy remains strong while software sales dip. It's easier to pirate on Wii and DS, but piracy doesn't appear as bad on either, many titles that achieve mainstream appeal still sell (although some still love blaming piracy when unknown niche title with no marketing #X fails to sell half a million copies). It's the same with PSP it's just rarer that such titles appear on it. Monster Hunter and its clones in Japan but in the West, nothing much that appeals to people gets released. Even efforts like God of War sour buyers by being way too short. It's not piracy's fault. Some of the most popular titles with the best sales are leaked early too, like The Sims on PC. It doesn't mean piracy as a whole is any worse, it just means some fucker got it early and leaked it.
Piracy is just a good excuse for people involved with the games and hardware, it's something that is out of anyone's control once a system is cracked so it's a good scapegoat like the "casual" audience is on Wii or whatever else. Sony fails to make the system a choice for gamers, companies fail to release games that appeal to them, in turn only pirates play it. In Japan where they release games that appeal to people, the system does great. If the system wasn't cracked, chances are the pirates would focus on other cracked systems and legit buyers still wouldn't give it that much attention. It's a Sony failure as far as I'm concerned. I own an uncracked PSP, I buy one game every several months at best, since I have two other systems that I prefer their games so I only buy stuff that are really special, like Valkyria Chronicles 2 and Peace Walker. I regret getting Soul Calibur though.
I double checked the last few Media Create charts to make sure some of the above still stands (it does, PSP gets a good number of titles in the charts and certain titles like Monster Hunter and Phantasy Star do really really good) and noticed something interesting related to a title I was just playing. The PS3 version of Sengoku Basara 3 has disappeared from the charts for weeks while the Wii version remains still (although very close to #50). Prior to that, outside the launch weeks where the PS3 version devastated the Wii release, they were neck and neck in ranking. I'm confident it would have done much closer to PS3 numbers if Capcom hadn't focused its marketing on PS3. There were practically no screens or videos of the Wii version on release, only one story trailer from a year ago. Kind of like the Call of Duty releases in the West. Not to mention the lack of an online mode. Oh well.

Well guys I started to play Okami again. Seriously this game needs some help with the dialogue and names. It's like reading LOTR for the first time where everyone and everything has 3 names each.
I sitting there trying to get back into the plot after 26 hrs and you have humans turning into dogs and masked blobs telling me that Ezo has captured taruki in the miane forest and that Sukyaki has gone to darbil to find the tajin stone where the quozil has met with Yiroki.
F*** this shit.
i went through something similar trying to get back into muramasa. i think i'll probably be better off starting again even though the story isn't really of any consequence in this game

The best part is that it's about a platform, Java, which isn't entirely free, and isn't entirely portable. The JVM for Mac was ported by Apple, not Sun/Oracle, and was recently deprecated. Alternate movie title: "Missing the Point".

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileIt's not like it's because I'm just revisiting the game now, I am in a completely new area and they are just throwing a zillion new weird names for people, places, temples and items all at you at once. Even when I'm slowly reading and trying to remember everything it just gets to a ridiculous point.
Part of the problem is that it never introduces you properly to these characters like say a Zelda game would. They just throw names in left right and center and expect you to somehow distinquish them.

The following snippets were taken from Nintendo Power...
"After years of soul-crushing disappointment, fans may find it hard to believe. Yet I'm here to tell you that Sonic Colors is a fantastic game. Not just a step in the right direction, but an unequivocal success. In fact, it's the best entry in the series since the Blue Blur's 16-bit heyday.
"The game often switches back and forth between a 3D, behind-the-hedgehog perspective and a 2D side-scrolling perspective. The latter accounts for about 70% of play time, and most of it requires measured, careful platforming rather than always rushing through environments as quickly as possible."
"And to encourage that spirit of discovery, five red tokens are scattered throught each act. Some are cleverly hidden, while others put your proficiency with a given power-up to the test. Collecting the tokens unlocks new bonus stages in the virtual-reality-inspired Eggman's Sonic Simulator, which you can play cooperatively with a friend. Completing those stages, in turn, earns you a Chaos Emerald and once you gather all seven gems... well, that's a secret."
"Though I hesitate to mention it, the tokens also unlock one of the most horrifying sights in the history of video games - an alternate character model that places the head of your Mii on Sonic's body."

That's going to be cool as hell to race with the Mii's in Sonic. It's been a while since I've seen a creative use for the Mii's. Should be fun.
