Mafia 2 is great, it's just an open world game like some people wanted. A bit too short too, but enjoyable throughout. But it's not a Rockstar game. LA Noir looks great, hope they pull it off.

Game Informer did a cover story on it a few months ago and from that it basically looks like Chinatown/ LA Confidential version of a GTA game. I'd be more inclined to enjoy that over, say Red Dead. Development lead is being done by Team Bondi (Aussie division), so not sure how it will work out -- I don't know their gaming lineage.
I have a PSP but I wish they ported these games to Wii. They have great production values and would look really good on Wii, especially if they made them full res and 60fps... I don't see why they don't. I mean, it's one thing to consider PS3 ports which would mean they look ugly compared to other games (well, maybe not this game as it has a clean style, not gritty with attempts at having details that get jagged and muddy and would be bad in high res, like Peace Walker or 3rd Birthday) but for Wii, most third party games don't have these production values, or even any sort of actual art direction, so these would be among the best looking for it... Not to mention the better controls for anything that involves shooting or camera control that the PSP doesn't do that well...

Yes, port all PSP games to consoles, any console. I dont know why PS3's don't play downloadable PSP games. Its just dumb.
2k is part of Take-Two. Take-Two is the mother company, they branch out into the different publisher brands like 2k and Rockstar.

"During the PS2 era, we has these elaborate rendered movie sequences that would play for Deadly Alliance, Deception, Shaolin Monks, one of the audio guys was saying, "What if we played the Mortal Kombat theme?" But by then, it was so overplayed. When I would hear it, I'd interpret it as so inappropriate for the game. There was a sort of cheesiness to it that I coudn't quite repeat."

New Xbox 360 controller
There's one thing that bugs me about the design of the new controller: Why did MS go through the trouble of making the D-pad snap between a flat disk and a cross? The flat disk is very similar to the style that nobody likes, so why did MS bother keeping it? Seems like it would have been easier and cheaper just to do the cross-only.
I'm not trying to be an asshole here -- but seriously the only thing I can think of is gimmick. A way to improve the broken directional without admitting it was broken.
That's actually the better reason. Ninty has that one yeah? That's why the PS cross pad is broken into 4?
