I started Red Steel 2 a few days ago....pretty cool game, definitely blows the first one away. However, I don't think its that great of a showcase for MOTIONPLUS as the controls don't seem any more precise to me than what Metroid and others do without it. In fact the game has a some annoying motion control stuff as well, like much of the sword fighting, and you have to do quite a bit of tweaking to get the controls to feel as good as Metroid just by selecting Metroid's ADVANCED setting.

That said, the game IS a major improvement over RS1, mostly because of the gameplay and mission structure. It took me an hour to get into the groove of it, but I dig its brand of open-world like gameplay. I really like the vibe of the game as well...it almost feels like something that would have been a typical DREAMCAST 2 game if the machine existed. Its got that experimental Japanese feel to it that SEGA's machine always had. I'm also surprised by the graphics.....easily one of the best looking Wii games and uses my full HDTV screen, and looks quite a bit better than it does in pics.

So far so good! Not AAA but definitely solid.

I will get killed for this but it does not deserve it. Not cause I am a Zelda fan, it doesn't change games in any way, it is simply a slightly better version than a game that came before.  Its the same reason why TP, even though I feel it is a better game than OoT should not be ranked higher than it.

I find the aiming slightly better han in Metroid Prime 3, but that could be due to the weapons. Besides MP3 was a long time ago so I'm not sure.

 Oh, wow! Did we not have this discussion before? Yeah, I remember it, I said Galaxy was better than TP, because TP did nothing new. You said that you did not care, TP is the better game overall.

So you should not care now either, Galaxy 2 is the better game overall and should score higher than Galaxy 1.

Well I said that cause I do think TP is a better game overall than Galaxy 1, regardless of how many sequels came before it. When considering games in series then you can do the direct comparisons, you cant compare games across genres, doesn't work like that. The best of Zelda will always be better than the best of Mario to me.

TP is a better game overall than OoT so it should have scored higher than OoT by your logic, but it didn't and with good reason. Now its not a big deal, I am fine with the scores Galaxy 2 is getting I am just throwing my two cents in.
