Patent office has new DS cart images. usually illustrations provided to patent are very generic in nature, so the very detailed image may reveal that the next DS is further along in development than thought.
See story for more pics.
Yeah, well, it's not like I'll ever play it anyway given my scaredy-cat ways. As an update, I am now playing a PS2 game from 2001 and by comparison SH Shattered looks like dung. It doesn't look BAD in and of itself, but if you have a Wii and will actually play the game that would be the way to go.
Either they're the expert and last word on RPGs, or they're just a bunch of pretentious reviewers who don't know what they're talking about.
Obviously we know which one they are.

No EO2 in sight, though. My task is only half complete.
IGN should come here more often. Four day old news, just now breaking:
Got my new Game Informer!
Here are the scores (and my 2 cents):
Looks like God of War III will live up to the hype. They say it's better than Uncharted 2 in scale, cinematic presentation, and they say they would've never imagined such an amazing conclusion to the series. I will admit, I was worried about this third one because Jaffe and Barlog wasn't working on it since they were important creators of the first two. But I guess the Santa Monica team is more than capable enough to start where they left off and made a great game. My hats off to them and I hope I can play it once I get a PS3!
Also, just my thought on the DA Awakening expansion. It's nice but $40 is too much for that since it's only 15 hours long. It would've been just right if it was $19.99 and as a large download like the GTA episodes.
2K should just give it up and just let Sony continue making the Show. By the way, Sony's first party has been the best of this gen so far. Except for MAG, I guess. I wonder why this game is disappointing. GI says it doesn't have that same viceral impact other popular online shooters have and that it feels robotic. Well, thank goodness for Battlefield Bad Company 2!
And I'm surprised Just Cause 2 got a 9. GI claims it as "one of the most entertaining sandbox shooters ever created." High words.

Yeah, the Show is really awesome. I like MLB but never really play the games. But The Show is something I'd play just to be wowed by it everytime I play a game.
My Dad would like it as well. He loves baseball but hates video games, but I think he'd even get a kick out of seeing The Show in motion.
I can see it now. He'll be like, "The Dodgers is playing?" And I'll be like, "It's a game, Dad!" My Dad's jaw dropping to the floor!

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileWii version looks great, easily one of the best looking games on the system. The lighting from the torch is superb. Really, really superb. The environments are great and you can read leaflets and posters and text off walls really clearly, even with no HD. Character animation is some of the best I've seen.
The daylight stuff isn't as nice though. I have a feeling that in the cold light of day the environments wouldn't look so nice. But in the dark with the torch casting those amazingly deep and intricate shadows, its wow time.
And the first two chases I've played so far were great, especially the second
God is watching you.
So the chases in Shattered Memories are awesome.
Picture it, you're walking around the everyday world looking for your daughter in this desolate town when suddenly the crackling sound of the world freezing over appears. The entire landscape starts morphing, ice crackling all over the environment, some blocking off paths.
You know what's coming and the words "Oh shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit" starts playing in your head whilst you grin
Then, you're lost and wondering where to go. You turn a corner and suddenly some faceless freak beast thing -caught in your flashlight- sees you and points, a terrifying scream pierces the air as he summons his freak beast mates.
And the words "Oh shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit" starts repeating in your head. You turn and run, full tilt headed god knows where. You see a ledge and run full pelt towards it, leap over it like a steeplechase runner, hit the floor running and head towards a building.
BAM, you smash through a door in one movement, BAM through another door into a larger room. You see monsters in your peripheral vision, some rush at you from the side, you barely dodge them and then get caught in the next room. You have to turn in an awkward direction and your run is stopped. Freak beasts pile on top of you, you motion your controller to throw them off, screeching follows as you pelt away again.
Now you look back and have 4 of them on your tail, you run past and obstacle and physically motion to throw down the object in front of them and keep running, no time to look back.
Suddenly things are quiet, you must of lost them for now. You turn off your torch, take out your map and look around, ah I should be going here? You redirect your position to head in a straight line towards your destination but you know it wont be that simple.
Walking slowly, you creep along, as you approach a creature on the left the static crackles out of the wii remote. "Shit, shit, shit" you pause. Then it moves on and so do you. Just as you approach a building you spot a creature on your right, and IT spots you. The chase is back on!
You burst into a building, slam your fucking shoulder through the door, into another room, three doors in this room, which one to choose, no time to think, JUST RUN!
They are closer and closer, the creatures are so close you can feel their hot breath on the back of your neck, their screams pierce into your brain.
You enter a large chamber.
In a fraction of second you notice an unlit flare on the ground, but its in some kind of well like crevice. Do you run for the door or do you run for the flare? Suddenly notice another creature in front of you, the flare sits between you. Can I make it to the flare? Or will it get there first?
FUCK IT! You run headfirst for the flare, the creature is running straight for you and you're running towards it! "OMG OMG OMG"....
You get there first and rip the top off that flare, its light fizzes around you and the creatures stumble back.
"Fuck you!" you hear in your head.
And then whilst the flare is fizzling out, you look for and find the exit, slamming out the last door from darkness into daylight.
Your eyes adjust to the cold light of day, the nightmare is over.
Wow, you say. Just wow.
This is the monster hunter tri box with wiispeak and CC Pro in the UK

Buy the NP mag when it comes out on shelves next week. Some things I can confirm from the article.
-Developed by 5TH Cell.
-DS Only.
-Out this Fall.
-Yes, D-pad controls for Maxwell are in along with significantly improved stylus controls and camera is now fixed.
-Big updates to physics (it's still DS, but it's vastly improved).
-Levels are revamped completely improved (no more solving every level with rope/unicorn/death/etc), levels are deeper in content.
-The 10,000 words refers to adjectives, we didn't add 10,000 new objects, we put in 10,000 new adjectives (we put in some new words too).
-You can string adjectives together.
There's a lot more info in the NP article, buy it!
Bugs, you would love Silent hill if you love walking about abandoned buildings like you said.
GAF Euro guys seem to love Shattered Memories too:
Great use of the Wii and superb graphics and effects throughout. Few dodgy puzzles here and there and the occassional frustrating moment but nothing to bad as to ruin the experience. Not too scary surprisingly but the atmosphere is superb and the story was very well handled and you get a good pay off for putting in the time to complete it.
Everybody wanting an great third party Wii game that uses the strengths of the console and delivers a great game and an emotional experience to boot should go and get this now. One of the best games on the system.
Ending left my mouth agape
very beautiful but I can't make head or tails of the story so far.
