I don't care what Reggie says, Nintendo better get Wii HD ready very soon, because with sales like that, the Wii's days are clearly numbered.

At first glance, the headline may not make much sense, but that's exactly what this screenshot for the newly announced The Flying Hamster is telling us. Newton the Flying Hamster will have to soar through six levels, from the "big Japanese city" to "crazy ancient Egypt." No trips to normal ancient Egypt for this rodent!
Developed by The Game Atelier for the PSP, The Flying Hamster will also feature more than thirty enemies, ranging from "sneaky penguins, anti-air cows, exploding foxes" and worst of all, "ninja squirrels." Who else just became incredibly excited for this shmup?
I read his quote about Wii HD in Game Informer and his denial wasn't really a denial. He said, "There is no Wii HD" That does not mean there will not be, or that there is a Wii HD in the plans and they will call it something different.
In this week's podcast oolz points out that HD may stand for Highly Detailed.
Regarding the Wii Relax story.
I can see that being more appealing to me than Wii Fit etc... I'd love to see an application that mellows me out using the Wii-Pulse Sensor. Maybe they could bundle a Wii-Bong and medical mary-jane prescription.

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileWoah. The PS3 and 360 are practically neck and neck for December sales with the Wii almost outselling each of them 3-to-1.
Very impressive sales for NSMB Wii which reminds me I need to get myself a copy of very soon. Awesome to see Modern Warfare 2 still selling so strong, totally fantastic game. Great to see Assassin's Creed 2 and Left 4 Dead 2 also selling nicely. Crazy to see Mario Kart Wii keep popping into the top ten like this still.

Oops forgot about NPD, MY LORD those numbers are crazy. I assume 3.8 million is by far the highest amount of units any system has ever sold in one month, the Wii is going to slaughter PS2 records, which is crazy to me. Any thoughts of the Wii juggernaut slowing down should be thrown out the window, this console is not going anywhere.
Wow, so the PS3 beat out the 360, surprising. I thought last month was showing the trend that the 360 would remain 2nd place, I guess that was a slight CoD boost. PS3 had an excellent year so it is no surprise it is doing so much better than last year, better price and now it has the games that makes the system worth buying. The 360 is always remains steady. MS has its set place and it seems it will never go up or down, they are on a treadmill.
Software is crazy. NSMB is a monster and in the end I bet you it will sell better than MW2. It may take a few years but worldwide NSMB Wii will be a bigger seller than MW2. CoD still pulled in 3 million which is a 50% drop but at those insane numbers that is still incredible, 9 million in the US alone in two months. Wii Fit will go on to be the best selling software thing ever, I don't consider it a game as it is some other device, its not like Wii Play cause it isn't just a controller with a demo disc. I don't know what Wii Fit is but like almost everything Nintendo has done this gen it has turned to gold. Mario Kart will never stop will it, what kind of numbers does that game have at this point, I need to look it up. Nice to Assassin's Creed and L4D2 actually show up in a sea of Wii stuff. Speaking of L4D, how big of a franchise is this now, its a monster. This is a 4+ million selling game easy, that's RE level.
Uncharted has sold 900k since its launch, deserves so much more but a million units in the US in a few months is not bad at all. They are looking at a very big selling game, 3+ million. I wonder what Zelda sold, Mario and Luigi on its like 3rd month outsold it, not a surprise cause PH was a mess.
Look at the increase on Nintendo products. How is the DS still selling like that, everyone has one already, how is this possible.Ouch poor PSP...

I'm sure many people upgraded from DS to DSLite to DSi. My original DS was Lite and I'll definitely be upgrading to DSi, most likely the XL version, pretty soon.
The thing we have to remember is that kids are being born everyday, and everyday they turn 4-5 and get a DS. How many kids are born in the US and Japan everyday?

No, they built a trust with all those 40 million Wii owners, people trust the Nintendo name cause they don't make shit games. If these companies would actually make games that people would want to play they will sell. If Epic Mickey is good, I bet it will sell very very well. Yes I know it has a major license but what is the last million selling Mickey game, exactly. It is a good concept, it has appeal to many people, and odds are it will be a good game. It will sell. When a company puts out damn light gun games and expects it to sell millions well the company is the moron.
