Yeah, the jumping is stiff. You can't change directions in midair. I hate the stupid stairs. They killed me alot. Still you will get used to it, and it's a whole lot better than the Castlevania Adventures on the Game Boy.
About jumping, Grant is the best he can change directions in midair. Alucard is also good, he can turn in a bat. Sure it feels like cheating, but the levels get so hard you will not care. I am glad they fixed the controls in SoTN and the games after that.
They need to remake this game with better controls!
ESPN? Where?
He is like a real life Sonic the Hedgehog. (let me spare all of you your stupid joke reply that says something like "but he doesnt suck")
If they do, all they really need to do is make it SNES style, it would be that perfect old school Castlevania game many have been looking for. I think there needs to be a new handheld CV like this, not a Metroidvania for once.
I wouldn't call it cheating, as that's the only value Grant really offers. He's weak and can only use the dagger and axe for items. But his jump and ability to get around obstacles makes him worth keeping. Sypha the magician is fantastic against bosses. The fire attack has great range and if you can get the lightning ball attack DO NOT LOSE it. Single best attack in the game.
And as for the 3rd helper - Alucard - well. . . frankly he sucks. When SoTN was announced with him as the lead character I cringed because he was so useless in Dracula's Curse. His power ball attack sucks, and being a bat is okay but since you can't attack in that form it has very limited use.
my goodness! what a race. i wanted tyson gay to be in it at least though. was it his groin injury?

Take it from me gay groin injuries S-U-C-K!
Yeah, he has pulled his groin and he wants to save himself for the 4x100 m relay race.
Actually I use Alucard to skip huge platforming parts. Or if I mess up jumps I switch and become a bat. He still sucks though.
P.S. which one of you have played Kid Dracula.
Oh so you want to skip the platforming parts huh. I see.
at Leo's post above.
My ESPN had nothing only the annoucement that he killed his old record.
There's a couple places where it works, but you I've never thought it was that effective, since one hit turns him back into a human. Whenever I try that, about half the time I end up dead in a pit.
True, he helped me in a few levels, but most of them would work with the Pirate dude also. I should not have traded him in, but I can't trade him back anymore.

Hey, do the turnip prices change at noon or something? I checked my prices this morning at 11am, and they were 155 bells. Now at 2pm, their 447 bells! WTH?
GG, did you come over yet? Now would be a great time.
I know. So much for the Wii not getting quality third party games.

yes, there's always a different price after 12. 447 is pretty incredible

I had no idea they changed at noon. That's good to know! Thanks, bugs.
They must not have a lot of faith in the game considering they're only publishing it in Europe.
...what in the HELL is that crap?!
