Mine were at 160 this morning... I don't know if that is good or not, and I won't be home to open my gates for several hours.
just saw the message GG. mine are at 150. anything above 100 is a profit but 150 or 160 is not too great but it's better than a loss

Thanks guys. Rag, the price before 12pm changes. It depends if it goes up when you get home. Which might be too late for me. Thanks for the info though.Â
Bugs, that sounds great, when can we meet?
Just watched the Spore Hero video. I echo the sentiment:
WTH?
Nice visuals though, reminds me of a rare game. So you build monsters and fight or sing to each other?
So is this an open world game?
BTW guys scans for all these games here:

I played the InFamous demo for an hour yesterday, yes one playthrough takes that long and I just focused on doing the missions, there is a huge area to explore. You get four missions, two main ones and two side ones. Its classic open world design, missions appear on your map, go to them to start them up, etc. There are hidden shards around the game world to find. I didn't find much else to do in the city, maybe the main game has more, for now don't expect anything like GTA where there is a lot to do around every corner.
The gameplay is where this demo really shined. The best way I can describe it is imagine the building climbing mechanics of Assassin's Creed, mixed with the cover shooting gameplay of Uncharted and your character is a Jedi Knight who lost his lightsaber. Like Assassin's Creed everything is climbable, any thing that is not a flat wall can be grabbed on and use to climb up the many buildings. The game uses a sort of auto lock feature to make sure the character grabs on to grabble objects so at times it feels like your chaarcter is pulled to a certain object. The jumps are floaty, but I soon found that was cause of what I mentioned above, precision jumping is not needed as all you really need to do is point him at something and the character
will grab on it's own.
Some of his electricity powers take the place of conventional weapons. His standard electric attack, which shoots balls of electricty at enemies is basically a normal gun. He has an electricity grenade, which obviously takes the place of a grenade. He also has a force push power, which is why he feels like a sort of jedi. There are good side powers and dark side powers, they seem to have taken the light/dark idea from the Jedi Knight series. As you play, depending on what side you stay on you gain more powers for that side. If you are good your powers are more about healing and defense. If you are evil your powers are more about added destruction and damage. Both sides actual moves seem to be the same, they just have added side effects depending on your moral choice. Other moves in the demo include the ability to jump up and then come down with a super slam on the ground that causes a shockwave. You got melee attacks, no real combos. You can do this awesome slide on any powerlines, I found myself basically skating on a powerline high above the street raining down death on enemies below. I looked at the menu and there are plenty more to unlock.
As you use your power you lose electricty, to gain it back just absorb electricity from any power source, and there are many in the world. Health works the same way, low on health, absorb electricty. There is a cover system, press circle to enter cover, sort of like Uncharted. But it doesn't work as well as Uncharted, I found it hard to determine what I can cover behind, also since its an open world most of the time enemies are all around you, so cover for one enemy leaves you completly open for another. I say buildings are the best cover, climb up to the edge of the top of a building and use that as your cover.
There were plenty of enemy types; you had your standard gun bad guys, fireball grenade dudes, missle launcher dudes, and my favorite this teleporting earthquake making mutant. Combat is so much fun, you need to use the whole world to your advantage, use buildings as cover, get to high ground to gain the upper hand, find areas that have multiple electricity sources. Use cars as explosives waiting to happen, force push enemies off of buildings, use powerlines as an infinite power source. I put the difficulty to medium and it was a challenge, enemies have perfect aim, if you are not in cover they will shoot you to death quickly. Like I said before the city is very open so enemies will surround you, you have a sonar like radar you can use to see where enemies are. Enemies mover around, they work in groups, it wasn't a cake walk for me, I did need to use cover and fight smart to get by. You gain exp by doing certain kills like get a headshock (a headshot) or force pushing a guy then hitting him while he is falling in midair. Some enemies stay incapacitated rather than dying, you can walk up to them and decide to leech energy from them or restrain them, one is the good method and the other the bad method. You can also heal civilians the same way, you will find some hurt on the ground, walk up to them and press triangle to heal, or just their energy. This aspect seems like it can get old fast, I hope you are not required to help many civilians to stay good, I saw tons of them hurt all over, I bored of healing them after the third one.
The missions in the demo were pretty damn awesome. The first one was on a train, you need to stand at the front to power the train to move but enemies block your path at many locations on the trip. It's a long well designed mission, it wasn't go to point A, kill people... even though some of the side missions were like that. The other main mission has you protecting a crate of medical supplies from waves of enemies. Toward the end, huge trucks with gun turrets show up to take you down. So the two main missions were fun as hell and well thought out.
I still need to play the demo as a bad dude, causing major carnage everywhere. I tried it out only for a shortwhile, seems like there is no reprocussions for going psycho and killing people, like no police or gang of people rebelling against you. Kind of made blowing up stuff pointless, hopefully I am wrong about that. Overall i loved it, I am going to go back and play it many times. I'm sold on the game, the action is so well done that I know I can spend many many hours just messing around with it.
Star Trek movie review!
Star Trek is a reimagining that works on so many levels. JJ Abrams and crew manged to walk such a tight rope between pleasing the hardcore fan and making this movie accessable to everyone, they pulled it off. It is very much Star Trek, these are the characters, they are not actors trying to be similar to them, they just become these characters. I dont think I have ever seen such perfect casting in movie that has the task of recasting icons. Chris Pine is Kirk. He has that swagger, that cockiness, and love for adventure, you feel it in every single scene he is in. Zachary Quinto (Sylar) probably had the hardest task cause Spock is such an icon, and not just the character, Leonard Nimoy as well. Its one of those roles that you can't picture anyone but Nimoy playing; well not anymore. It's a young Spock so you see him more emotional than he has ever been and with good reason.I don't believe Karl Urban is in the movie, I believe they created a time machine and got a young DeForest Kelley. Same goes for the rest of the main cast, superb job with all of them.
Not once during the film was I distracted by the new cast, I never was thinking about how the original crew would handle this. They just are the crew and it was so fun to see how they all came to be together, how they became the crew of the Starship Enterprise. You see how friendships started, how every character started find their role on the ship. All the classic lines are in the film like "Dammit Jim I'm a doctor not a...", they don't feel forced, they feel natural. By the end of the film I wanted to see the sequel already, I want to see more from this crew, I want to see how the relationships evolve in this timeline. More on that later.
At the same time the movie works as a fun as hell summer movie. It has the DNA of a summer film, it's got that right mix of action, comedy, romance, special effects. I feel everyone will have a good time with this movie cause even if you don't know the characters or the universe you will have a great time watching it. The action is spectacular, for the first time you see a Star Trek film with the budget of a Star Wars film, wow it pays off with the special effects. Those ship battles are beautiful, It is a movie that hits all the right notes. I read somewhere that someone called this movie this year's "Iron Man" and I have to agree.
Time for spoilers
SPOILERS
I love how they handled this reboot/alternate timeline story. They made it so that this doesn't completely ignore everything that happend in the Star Trek universe, they managed to make it a part of that Star Trek universe that causes the universe to change. Brilliant. HavingNimoy's Spock there was such a treat, he now serves as that connection to the classic Trek universe and he gets to watch with us this new universe unfold. One of the weakest aspects of the film I feel was Nero. He was a one dimensional bad guy, and with good reason, his planet was blown up, I would be eternally pissed as well. Bana has the same face and growl every single scene he is in. I hope for a better bad guy for the next film.Where are the Klingons?
Excellent first entry into what I hope is a long new series of movies.
