Fuck, I was never hip. Not even when I was young.
That's so shitty.
I'm cooler at 31 than I ever was at 21. Unfortunately I'm married and have kids and can't take full advantage of it anymore. . .
EA are marketing geniuses.
Yeah that's what I thought, makes it looks like something trashy enough to be enjoyed by everyone, whilst the more informed still know that it's boom blox. Whatever it takes to sell.
Oh yeah I played more Madworld, getting into it now, pretty sweet, despite the Euro screwing.

AMERICANS OFFICIALLY STINK
The M-rated grindhouse film-inspired gore fest House of the Dead: Overkill has managed to make a modest bit of headway on the typically family-friendly Wii.
The light gun game from Sega and U.K.-based Headstrong Games sold 45K units during the month of February, NPD told Edge. The game launched February 10.
NPD analyst Anita Frazier said it landed around the 50th spot in the top-100 SKUs for the month in unit sales.
Sega's lineup of M-rated Wii games includes House of the Dead: Overkill, Platinum Games' MadWorld (launched in March) and June's The Conduit, from High Voltage Software.
Sega of America has said that developers are missing an opportunity to cater to the hardcore gamers that have bought Wii, a console that Nintendo positions as typically family-friendly.
House of the Dead: Overkill recently earned a rather dubious honor from Guinness World Records as the "Most Profane Game."
Personally, I'd call it "Most Immature Game," but "Most Profane Game" works too.
*sigh*
Sega just didn't push this game right. This was a game that needed TV behind it. The only ads I saw were on videogame sites where ads very rarely sway people one way or another. If you're on a gaming site, you already know what's coming out so long as a few interviews and previews have been done for the game. Point is, they weren't getting the word out to uninformed games out there. Only to the people whose minds were made up one way or another.
Still it's not horrible. This game didn't cost too much to make. Plus, I suspect there will be a strong tail for it's sales thanks to that Guiness Record it set. that's helped give it more publicity than all the ads Sega bought for it.
robert rodriguez and tarantino should put in a word for this game. surely it can do better than 45K

Listen to Wu-Tang and watch Kung-Fu
Well HOTD 2 and 3 Wii sold over 900'000 so over the long term I hope this will do the same. If you are a European you can get it for £19.99 right now from amazon and the likes: hello fucking Iga.
Well what can I say, I suppose people are pre-occupied with RE5, SFIV and even Killzone 2, but with a couple of those games, you know they will sell regardless and you know that you will get them eventually down the line anyway. For once, instead of renting or waiting till a game is dirt cheap, try buying a game that's firstly good and secondly needs the sales first, and waiting on the other games for a price drop; you know you're going to get them anyway.
I checked and the global sales seem to be 160'000 and that only counts a few markets. Really guys though, read the thread here, check it out, its a game well deserving of a purchase. I hope it at least does a million. I just started Madworld and undoubtably Overkill will be the more enjoyable game for me.
IE8 RSS Feeds
Subscribe to an RSS feed, and IE8 gives you the option to put it on your Favorites Bar. You can then set how often IE8 checks for new content (i.e. 15 min, 1hr, 1 day, ect.), and it then bolds the RSS bookmark to let you know there's new content available. New articles are also bolded.
This is a pretty slick feature that makes it considerably easier and faster to use than Opera's and IE7's RSS readers.
That is damn cool.
Yup.
What the hell man. Will buy after de Blob and some other games. Better to finish my Master Thesis quickly, so I can start working and have some money!
I wouldn't ask for help from those guys frankly. Grindhouse the movie completely tanked in the theaters. From a box office standpoint it was Tarantino's first failure. That's why they ended up trying to release the movies separately in the theaters and on DVD. No one could find a way to make people go see it.
