What are your tactics for using Shulk, Sharla and Reyn?
So Melia and Riki guys, what moves should I have equipped with them and what do those moves do? It's been so long I've forgotten how to control the squad orders, attack, defend etc someone remind me.
Tactics? Haven't you been listening to anything I've said?
I really can't recall much of it. I think I kept Sharla and Reyn focused on the main boss, while taking out all other annoyances myself. Of course, I had to keep an eye on my whole team to be sure nobody would stray into pits of acid. I do remember grinding a level or 2 before being able to beat her, I was about the same level as the boss when I took her down, it's not like I just kept levelling untill I was of a much higher level.

there is a fucking tutorial in the game. Use it.
Reyn, sharla and shulk is the worst possible team.

I mean like proper tactics, use break, reyn will topple, then use daze etc.
that's not tactics, that's hpw you're suposed to ply the game! Besides, cut me some slack, it's been a year since I put the game away. In chain attacks, be sure to link same coloured attacks, have sharla heal as much as you can. Choose attacks for your squad that match up well. I can't recall anything specific for that battle though, I didn't alter how I played specifically for this battle. And last but not least: don't let Iga put you off with advice on how you HAVE to play. My advice might seem like that of a bumbling fool compared to his, bit I DID beat the game, so puh!

Thats how I beat the final boss...
There was no way to do it without a super healer, not riki or melia, I needed someone that can do crazy healing constantly.

That boss is easy. All I did was be melia, I had a good four of her main buff/attack spells (make sure to have regen, the red staff physical attack, her topple attack and the aura blast.) I give riki the healing art, some of the physical ones like backattack and the one that makes them bleed. For that boss have more spells, he has flame, ice, poison. Shulk just let him be, the key is to warn him when a vision happens so you can use the correct blade power. If you see a vision of a red attack, use speed spell on the character targeted. If you see a white attack coming cast shield (and hope you leveled it enough). There are some other tactics you can use but those are the big two. I used melia and I just kept casting the spells over and over, and using aura blast when a maxed the center attack, Keep telling your teamates to attack only the boss, ignore everything else.

So who was your tank, Shulk? No wonder he dies multiple times. I would have replaced Shulk with Dunban. If she does her talent arts, put her too sleep to stop it. Or topple her to delay it. Dunban will simply avoid all physical attacks, because he is awesome.

There was no way to do it because you used Reyn. That blockhead absorbs damage like a sponge. Dunban, avoids all damage and therefore negates the need for any healer. I beat all the most powerful monsters, with Melia, Shulk, Dunban combo. The most powerful monster outlevelled me by 21 levels.

Yeah it was Disciple Lorithia with the pools of acid surrounding her. Seems she is a boss that gives most players a tough time. Thanks to advice from both Iga and Vader I beat her.
Okay now that quite a few of us have actually finished the story. (keep playing there are so many more things to discover, I did all the sidequests and beat the most important unique monsters, max level, max affinity and all the perfect level gems that I need, the remaining stuff I will get during my game+ walkthrough)
I want to discuss with you the ending and what it means for X on the Wii-U. Obviously this is spoiler territory so watch out.
So do you guys think X will be a sequel. I think after defeating God and recreating the universe it its original state, where the hell do you go after that?
I don't know. The geography looks very, very similar, but what does that really say about the setting of the game? Could just be that Monolithsoft thought it was a cool style to go with. Anyhow, the ending says that this world wasn't the first that Zanza and Meyneth created. X could take place on a previous iteration, although a lot of the story would be spoiled since you'd know that in the end you woudln't be able to save whatever like you did in Xenoblade. The game could also take place some centuries after Xenoblade.
Shulk didn't become a god, he just reshaped the universe (you know, nothing special), things could go wrong somewhere in the future.
So I don't think it'll be a direct sequel, but I can see it being set in a similar universe.

Shulk did get an offer to become God, but he refused so the universe kinda went back to its original state. They could make a sequel where they go from planet to planet, but that would be kinda too ambitious. Would be cool, but knowing Takahashi you would probably kill a god at the end.
Why would they need to go from planet to planet? it could play out on the 'original state universe' as you call it. It'd be a new place to discover anyway. I'm thinking it'll be the same place, but set after the events of Xenoblade.
I am pretty sure X will be its own game just like Xenoblade is seperate from Xenosaga. Like you mentioned Iga, some of the main themes will remain, like god.

In the end, Alvis comments how rich and vast the new created universe is. It would be weird that a direct sequel would not explore themes about a rich and vast universe. And who would be the baddie, you just killed God?! An alien invader or something?! That would be anti-climatic!

Takahashi is like an uber atheist. There is no God and if there is one, kill it!

Finish the game vagina!
GG, I didn't use either of them, and I beat her. Don't listen to these fools and their so called 'tactics'!
