I planted every probe and collected every treasure on the map. My basic mission board is coming up with red ticked completed missions now.

Which is a problem because I need to ro raise affinity to mop up some affinity quests for the minor characters. The gathering missions seem to autocomplete if you select them again but I am wondering if they raise affinity like usual too or not?

This works the same as when you already have enough items. And yes it does raise affinity. So if you are running out of basic missions to do, then accepting gather missions you have already done will help to quickly raise affinity.

Anyhow I am running out of things to do, the Ares 90 has helped me kill nearly all tyrants can find that aren't specific to some meteorological event. The basic missions board is filled with red ticks. All I have is the affinity missions left and raising affinity to get to them. I have collected every treasure marked on the map, I'm sure there are some caves I haven't cleared out completely but heh, finding them again will be a pain. I am doing Murderess' affinity missions and she just kebabed the info source. And now all direction indicators have vanished and somehow you are suppossed to be able to complete the mission without it?

This means checking multiple Ganglion bases on multiple continents and clearing out building by building. ON FOOT indecision Please tell me there's an easier way?

I'm pretty sure that the gather missions you have already completed once still require you to have the said amount of items in your inventory.

GG why don't you just do the support missions? They have some missions to quickly build affinity!

Yes, but by that point in the game you have so many of the collectibles you are just completing them automatically left right and centre and it greatly raises your affinity.

Is that from the barracks console? Online gaming?

So, I am near done with the game now.

Done every affinity mission apart from Mia's 4 heart mission. Seriously you save this girl on every continent and then she starts at zero heart affinity. And her starting mission is at 4 hearts. indecision

All story and basic missions are done except for 3 tyrants who only appear during electric storms or rising mists.

I've done all the support and time attack missions multiple times each. The Arms manurfacturers are maxed out. The probes are all placed, the treasures are all collected. Old Ceremonial Hollow is cleared out, as is the Ganglion Antropolis. The Definians are downed, the Nopon God is slayed.

Aside from getting THOSE BASTARD Crude Neihail Masks for me second Ares 90 I literally have nothing to do. sad Oh yeah, heart to hearts I guess.

Even after 200 hrs I don't want it to end Sad Wish that the missions board would either random generate missions or get DLC.

I have 24 million in cash and nothing to spend it on. All the Ground gear is underpowered compared to what I already have and the Skell stuff you can buy is all level 50 or under. Personally I feel it's a waste having so many items you have to develop from materials when it seems like the only way to get some of these items is by doing those short, long loading, boring time attack or squad missions. I have all this cash and nothing to spend it on. Some of the skells you can develop look cool like a Police or Army one but they are level 30 no Pointless.

It's a funny way to end a game, when the story is done and then you play a several dozen hours more. Leaves you without that ending feeling of resolution.

Are you experiencing that hollow feeling of having to move on to a different game but feeling reluctant to do so after having dedicated several hundreds of hours to see every last detail in a particular one?

I only ever had that with very few games (only Dark Souls comes to recent memory).  Normally I move on swiftly after completing the main quest as there are so many other games waiting to be played.

Yes, pretty much.

I also think it's a great time for other people to start XCX as there are several players here who have done it all and know the ins and outs of it all. We can pretty much resolve any problem.

Virtually every problem I had the game, wasn't actually a problem and there was some feature in the game I didn't know about that resolved it easily. It's pretty easy to play all around and great fun.

I'm currently experiencing this with Bravely Default.  There's a lot of skippable content, but even after having spent 100+ hours with the game, I still want to do and see everything.  I'll probably get back to XCX once BD is done, although I might play something short inbetween as a palette cleanser.  Like Bayonetta 2.  Or perhaps I'll cave in and go from BD straight to the recently released Bravely Second.  Nyaa

It's a pet peeve of mine when one needs "inside knowledge" for completing a game.  Or hindsight.  It annoys me no end if it means that one is excluded from a lot of content, or in some ways full enjoyment of a game if they don't read a guide or faq or hang out at a games forum and have friends who have completed the game prior to their starting it.

It's pretty easy, I figured out most of by myself with a few tips here and there. Also the things which annoyed me, actually were easily overcome in the end.

As someone who has no experience of the game reading some of your posts I was made to think in terms of "How can I possibly do this when, it requires so much of that, and there's no way of getting that now because I should've known about it 60 hours ago and there's no way of going back now and I've already finished all other ways of getting that with no possibility of repeating them" and all other manner of impossibilities.

Nah, it's all quite do-able.

Easier to play than Xenoblade Wii on some level.

Continued slaying tyrants. Doing squad missions to either build affinity or get reward tickets. It's taking forever. Sad
