My copy arrived today but it sounds way too complicated.  I may wait until the holiday before I start it since it now looks like I will not be going away for Christmas.

Complicated?  Who said anything about this being complicated?  Where did you get that crazy idea?  Nyaa

Honnestly though, so far I'm doing fine and having a good time, and you can read my replies in here as proof that I have little knowledge of what exactly I'm doing.

Let's just say that reading this entire thread would have made equal amounts of sense if it was written in a foreign language

Classes are easy once you see the page. Imagine it as joining a sports club, the snooker club uses cues, soccer club balls, baseball club baseball bats. Just lets you change weapon type and arts i.e a range of attack moves.

Don't wait Bugs or you'll fall behind just get in and run.

The LE box is a bit disappointing for the price.  The metallic case is low quality, the art book is nice but ultimately meh, and the poster is whatever.  In this day and age no special edition of a Nintendo product should come without a corresponding amiibo.  Can't wait for Twilight Princess.

I may play a little bit tonight if I get adequate amounts of marking and other bits of work done.

Wow, really weird feeling I've never had with a game before I almost feel homesick for NLA. I've travelled so far past Primordia, into Noctilums backside that I actually feel anxious and weary straying this far from home. Just goes to show how huge this game is. My mind is almost astonished and trying to comprehend, when I think back on how far I've travelled.

I think you need a certain amount of TP to revive a person. But you can use TP for more powerful attacks, offensive, and defensive stances, and overdrive.

I found out that if I revive someone then I can't use my TP healing move for the rest of the match.

You need to play the Afghan area in Metal Gear Solid 5.

I've come to realize I like two different camera's in this game. In the City, I prefer the camera close to the group a la Final Fantasy. Just because it gives you the feeling that you're there.
But out in the world, I've come to prefer the camera pulled way back & high up....almost like a Diablo/Baldurs Gate view. Makes it much easier to see what's going on in combat, & to explore the world. It really changes the dynamic of the game.

You guys have any preference yet?

I like the default distance, I like being fairly close to the characters, in the city I wouldn't mind zooming in even further to see the characters faces you're talking to better. Shame XCX didn't implement a Zelda style camera swoop for conversations.

My favorite camera style is dependent on if I'm in a Skell or not.

On Foot I prefer the camera to be the default distance away but I change the angle constantly.

In a Skell I prefer the camera to be zoomed out almost as far as it go so I can see the full Skell.

Anyone else tackle Oblivia after Notilum?

Seems boring in comparison. Noctilum was teeming with life and vegitation. Oblivia is barren and empty, as a desert would be, but the wildlife is mostly the same too. Getting ass handed by lightning storms is kinda annoying too.

I went to Oblivia first.

Some parts of Oblivia on the eastern part looks nothing like the western part.

There are Palm trees that look great with copper and blue patterns. I also like the inorganic structures in Oblivia.

It is probably one of my favorite areas I also like Sylvalum.

I look forward to it.

I had some problems with this level 11 tyrant in Noctilum, I was level 18 and still I can't beat him. Weird.

I like the camera fairly close in the city part and pulled back somewhat but not all the way when traveling around on foot outdoors. Haven't gotten a Skell yet.

I ventured into Oblivia first then a wee bit into Notilum. Recently did lots of adventuring in Notilum because I needed 20% for Story Mission 6. Also did some wandering around in Sylvalum prior to that. The whole world in XCX is simply amazing and really coaxes you to explore it quite well.

I recently got into a pretty epic battle with a very large unique enemy. Wasn't sure if I'd be able to beat it but after some frantic fighting, jumping around between arts, and having to revive two party members I beat it. It was pretty exhilarating.

How do you even get to the top two continents without a skell and flying? There's an ocean between them on the world map.
