ASK, IMO there are better wii games already out to get first and more cheaply than the new stuff.

Try and get ahold of Little Kings Story, Silent Hill SM and a couple of the Endless Ocean games.

I'm stuck on the final boss. I've only tried 4 times, I'm stuck on the final boss of NMH2 too. I think I've tried 4 times as well. I'm not the sort of person that will fight, continuously till a boss is beaten. I put it down, come back in a few months or weeks.

It's been more than a few months for LKS! Sad Watch some videos on youtube. They're very helpful. I had to succumb to doing that.

It's not th boss that is the real problem, it's the save point which makes you go through that rocket sequence. If I could just charge straight into the boss fight, sure. Instead I have to do the rocket bit, then searching around for my princess, then boss fight.

Do that. Play DS for half an hour, and take the boss fight fresh, making sure you know what to do during each phase.

I got him down to the final notch of life and died. I should go back and power up. Also if you don't take the right crew to face him, you have to restart, select new crew, do rocket ship, walking part again before trying again.

NMH2 final boss is not as hard work as that.  It even does an autosave when the boss fight moves to the next (of three) phase, so you don't even have to start from the beginning.  If you persist a little bit you'll do it no problem

I am that guy. Dracula will die today, that bastard. And all games that dont have a checkpoint right before the final boss can kiss my ass.

The final boss in Cursed Mountain Hrm You had to refight like 12 zombie ghosts just to get back to the fight.

I've thought about picking up Silent Hill SM for the PSP off of PSN. I hear the PSP version turned out pretty well, and I'm really more into handhelds at the moment.

As for LKS? I've thought about it and saw it for cheap. It looks neat but I don't know if I would spend time on it. As for Endless Ocean, it does look like something I'd enjoy just to relax.

Holy crap. Do not touch the other versions of Shattered memories.

The whole game was built around wii remote controls and the visuals are the best of the three too.

So have the right crew selected, save, and then you'll never have to check yoru crew. Nyaa

Have your plans changed at all since this thread was started?

I'm trying to remember what releases between now and the big day.

Here are games I am tentatively down to buy, pending good reviews of course.

  • Halo Reach
  • Goldeneye
  • COD Black Ops
  • Epic Mickey
  • DKC Returns

Don't know what to get now. As I'm trading in Black Ops I will use the cash for Epic Mickey. So that leaves me with only two Christmas games? Damnit I need suggestions. Note that March 2011 is the Euro release for Kirby's Epic Yarn.

EDIT: Black Ops was swapped for Sonic Colours.

Leo, be very wary of Splatterhouse.  With just over a week to go until its release there's still virtually no information out there on the game.  Nothing positive anyway. A few screenshots were put out last week along with some news that the game would be going to the iPhone are the only real things have come out this month. You have to back to this article that came out towards the end of October:

http://arstechnica.com/gaming/news/2010/10/splatterhouse-the-blood-is-good-everything-else-has-us-worried.ars

Long story short, the writer said that it looks great, but there were a number of technical issues that were in the E3 demo and still existed as of last month.  Given the difficulties this game had during development and the lack of video footage and industry impressions, I think this game is going to be an utter dud.
