2011 was a year that I spent most of my time playing old PS3 games. As a result I can't justifiably create a Top 10 list or even give our a GOTY award to something I'd consider truly deserving. So instead I decided to do a little something different. More categories will be added in time, but I'm taking my family to Disney World for Christmas in 20 minutes so I didn't quite have time to finish. In the meantime, I hope you all enjoy.

Best Toilet Game - PushMo

Not only is the title of the game perfectly appropriate for sitting on the john, its' short single levels are perfect for a quick trip or for that long extended toilet time.

Best DudeBro line of the Year - Bulletstorm

"You wanna make out? Just two gruff military hardened dudes sitting in an elevator snuggling out their woes in a totally hetero way."

Most Unjustified Moment of Rage - Mortal Kombat

Scorpion kills Mileena for trying to give him a teddy bear. That's just mean.

Best Game I Swear I've Already Played 2 or 3 Times Before - Kirby's Return to Dreamland

I like the game, but wow this game feels like every other Kirby game out there and I've only played 2 of them.

Do Something Already Dammit Award - 2D Boy

Congrats for going a 3rd year in a row without doing anything other than porting World of Goo to new systems and talking crap about big developers (who put out far more product then they do).

Runner Up - Team Ico

Most Badass Mexican - Steel Attack

This tough-ass bastard faces a disease that would make most of us shit out pants on a daily basis. All I know is I wouldn't fuck with the guy.

Runner Up - Garcia Hotspur

He kills demons and talks like a sailor, but he still ain't shit compared to Steel.

Best Use of Actors Who You Recognize, but Don't Actually Know - LA Noire

It's remarkable how many Hollywood actors actually appear in the game, but they're all people who show up on one episode of Law and Order or had a sitcom that got cancelled after 6 episodes. As a result you never actually get to learn their names. As a result they all showed up in LA Noire. Good times.

The Best Game That Everyone Besides Myself Is Too Dumb To Understand - Fortune Street

Reviewers are stupid. I'll leave it that. Let me just say that every Dragon Quest fan really needs to play this just for the characters and boards. Aside from that everyone who understands the basic concepts of economics should also play the game. Then again looking at the state of the world economy, it's no wonder no one understands how to play this game.

Pushmo, I need it.

You get to go to Disneyland every Christmas. Sad

They should have at least put the Harry potter resort in Britain so I could wail on the ginger kid each year.

Foolz - That's a good idea. I think I'll see what Dark Robio is up to.

Geek - I don't get to go to Disney every year for Christmas. This was the first year as a matter of fact. However, I have to say we had such a good time that the wife and I are thinking about making it an annual tradition. Damn near best Christmas ever.

Did you drive? If so, stop by South Cackalacki on your way back and say hello to old Travo.

Travo, I did drive but I just live on the other side of Orlando so it only takes me 45 minutes and stopping to say hello to anyone isn't terribly practical.

For some reason I thought you lived up north, like in Connecticut.

I did like in Connecticut for about 10 years but that was in the 80's. I've lived in Orlando now for the past 3.

I saw this food network show on Christmas in Disneyland, it's like 40 square km. Looks awesome. Sad

Oh yeah, the Disney property is huge. One of the amazing things about it is that they've done an amazing separating all of it. It's not like you can just look out the window and see all the other hotels and theme parks. It's all in a big forrest and feels very isolated from one another, even though most things are about 5 minutes from one another. Unless you're at the highest part of one of the tall rides like the Tower of Terror you really feel like you're in another world.

I don't know how they managed expanding and running it all. The behind the scenes look made it seem like a logistical nightmare.

I started a Me and Miyamoto post a few weeks ago and it just didn't feel right. I'm afraid that bit has been retired. Probably for the best. Trust me though, you will love the upcoming "Worst of 2011" list I'm working on.

Perhaps this is why he's considering stepping down too. He's nothing without your guidance, Robio.

Well if you want to know the real truth, he wants to step down so we can hang out more. Nintendo has been working him like a dog lately. I'll tell you a quick story. Last week me and Miyamoto were crocheting a blanket to give his mother for Christmas (or annual gift giving day as they call it in Japan). It was a really sweet ass blanket. His mom (who makes killer Dragon Quest Slime Buns) will love it. He looked exhausted though, and towards the end I had to do most of the work.  He complained that he missed doing stuff like this with me though, and pretty much had to put forth an ultimatum with Iwata so that he either gets to see me once a month, or there will be no more E3 appearances from him.
