Dude, this makes no sense: "Why wouldn't I play it if it didn't have Grand Prix mode?" How could you play it if it didn't have Grand Prix mode?
I presume this is where you've misunderstood my post, though: The "something you hate" is grand prix mode not Mario Kart.

I dont hate any of it, I wish it were a million times better. The core of MK is fun, the content is awful. All Grand prix mode is, is arcade mode in fighting games. You play every track against generic AI at increasing difficulty. Barebones, no imagination to the goals the player has to accomplish. These days I would never buy a fighting game that just has arcade mode and online. Look at the better MK, now that is how you put content into a game.To bring it back to smash, smash needs more than "arcade mode".
Okay this thread is not going anywere.
So seeing that me and Leo are the only one playing this game.
Leo what is your favorite new character?
And what is your favorite veteran?
Of the new characters, I find myself playing only Mega Man. I love how true to the original sprite they made him! When the screen is panned way out and he jumps, he looks JUST like the sprite! HE was the reason I got so excited for the U and 3DS games. I keep playing him over and over so I haven't had a lot of hands on time with the Vets. I've played a tiny bit of Kirby, Luigi, Zelda and Captain Falcon to complete their Challenge Panel challenges. Of them, I like Kirby first, Luigi second.
I was VERY concerned there was only one Challenge Panel to complete. I am glad to say that I am wrong!
Are you playing as Shulk?

Kirby sucks. You cant argue that.
And he swallows!

Mega Man is awesome, but tricky to master. I like that all his moves are his powers he can earn in the game. Did you see that he has a Dragon Punch?
I have not played with Shulk yet, I tried him out once, but he is also tricky to master.
My favorite new character is Greninja. Like his high jumping abiliy, his counter and teleportation move and he is a freakin ninja. Also I play with the Mii fighter a lot. I have the Mii of the girl in my demonstration team and I made her badass. I also created a swordman from my Mii, but I suck ass
My number one pick is Samus. I like how they have buffed her in comparion to brawl. Also Marth when I want to get close and personal. I also really like Sheik. I think they made her more awesome then before. But there are so many, Robin is awesome too. The Duck Hunt Duo is cool, Pac Man is actually really god. Zero Suit Samus is a beast. So many characters to master!

He goes Hypernova, of course...
Trust me, I've seen this first-hand. It isn't pretty!
I will say my stance on Smash 3DS has weakened a tiny bit this weekend. I either have a bit of a cold, a bit of a sinus infection, or possibly an early season mild flu, so I've been laying around quite a bit recouping. The Single Player does have a bit more playability to it than I originally thought: There's a total of 105 Challenges to beat. Doing so gets you Equipment and Custom Parts for your characters or things like Music for the Player, etc... This mode encourages you to play as Kirby or Pac-Man or characters you might not consider or play on certain maps or put so much time into certain modes... There's more to it than it initially seems...
BUT... I still wish there were intros, endings, cut-scenes or something to draw the player in more... I don't want to hear about the limitations of the 3DS cards. Kid Icarus was stuffed --FULL-- of scenes, conversations between Palutena and Pit and gobs of modes. If Sakurai wanted to put them in there, he very well could have!
I relent a tiny bit, but I'm still a tiny bit disappointed!
PS: Some of these 3DS exclusive stages are AWESOME!
...and, yes, you do have to participate in the mini-games on the Wario-Ware stage!
The Wario ware stage was also in Brawl.
I have found that Smash sometimes lags in local play. Which is weird, the dude I am playing with is right there. I have also found that the best online experience is For Glory one aginst one. I had quite a few matches with little to no lag. Had some nice one against Ike, while I was playing with Samus. It was a nice strategic battle, where Ike tried to get close, while I tried to keep distance.
Getting closer to possibly picking up Smash Bros 3DS. Both of the kids have asked me for it now. Just wish I could force them to buy it.

So they want you to buy it but you want them to buy it. Sounds like the start of a sitcom episode. In the end you both buy it and hilarity ensues.
Why wouldn't I play it if it didnt have Grand Prix mode? There would be something there, it wouldnt be a blank game with no content. Again makes no sense.
