Me? I played Fallout 3 and didn't know how to use the PIP boy to change weapons. So I spent an hour and a half trying to melee my way out of the vault and fighting bugs and rats off with my my fists. angry

i quit reading manuals years ago (there was a time when I liked looking at and reading game manuals on the bog but except for nintendo games nowadays they're all black and white, generic and boring).  i've now reached the stage where i don't even remove them from the case for most games

I always read the manual, I can't remember the last time I missed some action. I also press every button on the controller to see what it does.

I play first, read later. IMO if a game requires that you read a manual, it's failed in its design by not making it intuitive and easy to learn.

I was up to about 60+ stars when playing SMG 2 when I realized the action for spin was straight up and down with the remote (like a whip) instead of side to side.

Keep in mind I had already beaten SMG1, so shoudl have known this.

Played through most of the WiiWare Adventure Island without powerups.  I only found them once I reached a level that was impossible without the double jump.

No, its side to side. I have mastered both galaxy games and only done side to side motion.

Are you guys dense?! It does not matter which side. There are accelerometers in the Wiimote and if you accelerate the wiimote enough in any direction, Mario will do his spin. So people find it easier to achieve the acquired acceleration by moving their hands up and down, others do it side and side, while others use the nunchuck.

And no Vader, you have not mastered Galaxy, not even close. Did you forget all the youtube videos of people totally owning us?

The manual says up and down.  Either way works, in effect.

I mastered it in terms of getting every single star in both games. I didn't say I was some Galaxy god.
