Pretty fun racing game that still holds up really well 15 years later. Great sense of speed and the visuals are still strong. 8.2/10
I remember wanting to play that game. I have Episode I Racer on the N64 and it was great.
That game had an option where you could hold the controllers like you where controlling a pod racer by having controllers plugged into Controller port 1 and Controller port 3 and they would control each engine individually. That was hard to get the hang of because to turn you had to stop pushing forward on the anologue stick of the engine you wanted to shut off.

I've seen a few people talk about those controls. Pretty nuts. I have the original on N64 but I've never gotten around to playing it. I'd really like to pick up the Dreamcast version.
Beat some game solid this weekend! Ok well I haven't exactly beat WD2 but it should be done today or tomorrow. Going to post some quick mini review a later.

I played the hell out of the N64 version. It was one of those games that used the expansion pack. If you had it installed, the airbrakes on Anakin's ship would open and close every time you turned. If you lacked it, they remained shut. You just don't see that level of technical advancement anymore these days...

It's funny how small details like that used to be amazing. I remember playing Code Veronica on the Dreamcast which basically played exactly like the first three games...but because of the fully polygon environments the camera would pan back and forth at some points which I found incredible.
Beat Shantae 1/2 Genie Hero yesterday. I got the 'bad' ending, and I'm still debating wether I care enough to go for the 'good' ending, as that means scouring levels for some collectibles.
Overall it was a fun game, although it feels remarkably smaller and less epic than the last entry in the series, which is a bit of a shame. 7/10
30th completed game of the year is Killzone 3. Definitely my favorite one in the series. Much better controls.
Now the only ones I haven't played are the handheld ones.
Just finished Grand Theft Auto V and chalk up another awesome game by Rockstar. They really implemented having three protagonists very nicely. Transitioning between them is very well done and they are all somewhat interesting but Trevor is definitely the star of the game, the dude is hilariously over the top. The game looks fantastic given the vastness of the explorable area and everything that is going on in it. There's a ton of things to do in this game and then there's the whole GTA Online where you can do tons of things with other people either competing with or against you or also just doing their own thing. There's really not much too fault the game on as it just gives you tons of fun things to do in a beautiful and meticulously well-crafted world. 10 out of 10.
The game was a little too over the top for me. Dunno, maybe I've just outgrown GTA.

Clearly you were intimidated by the mighty Trevor.

I was playing bits of it here and there sporadically but just decided to dedicate myself to finishing it recently. Too many other games would always distract me.
Following Crysis 3 with DOOM was the best decision I have ever made. What a game.

My son and I are currently working on that game! I see Aspro gave me his approval for playing it, too!
Batman: Arkham Knight 7/09/2017
I finished it yesterday. I still have three more Riddler Trophies to get before I can defeat Riddler but I completed every other side mission and beat the game.
Also just beat the PS4 version of Star Wars Racer Revenge.
