Yeah I've only had a couple bad experiences playing online.  So far I'd have had 12 to 15 online matches and 2 or 3 have had lag, and of those only one rendered the match unplayable.  THen again considering how bad I am it may not have been the match that was unplayable.

ANyway I will be on at 3 PM EST today.

Figures. The guy who was complaining about the horrible lag, had none and kicked my ass.

The guy who said he had no lag was laggy as hell... and kicked my ass.

I'm not complaining though; I like when guys do things to my ass.  Nyaa

Seriously though, if you couldn't tell from my battle record, I haven't been playing online all that much...

...that's about to change!

Odd, I got more lag on my side from our matches than with Robio, particular the first two games.  I didn't have any where there was no lag; while there's different degrees, and maybe you can get a game where it doesn't hiccup, it never avoids the input lag.  Jun the Swan is almost unusable for me online because I can't get her moves to work reliably at all.

Still fun, despite every game ending with time out LOL

My darn internet is still having some trouble. I won't get it fixed till' Feb 18. So I'll keep practicing and learning some of the Tatsunoko characters. Some are pretty cool, like Tekkaman Blade.!

I had a little lag with Yoda and only had it with Leo in our last match or two. Overall as i predicted, I pretty much got stomped. I think I split the matches with Leo and Yoda beat me each time. I suck at fighting games but still enjoy them. Thanks for the matches guys!

oh and based on my other ranked fights, how ungodly unbalanced is Zero? I realize I suck (my 17% win rate confirms that), but when someone plays as Zero I get a special kind of ass kicking. Not even a tiny chance.

Yeah, Zero and Saki are spamtastic.

You guys should try Tekkamen Blade, the dude you unlock first on the Tatsunoko side.

Zero is a gasahpon compared to him!

It's easily the best fighting game on the Wii, although that isn't saying much...

I love it for the nostalgia factor. I love the revival of the Vs. series it represents.

I love it has a ton of stuff to unlock so it doesn't solely rely on online play to keep you interested.

It's great to have a fighting game that has a few LESS moves for a change, so the potential to learn a character WELL is definitely there.

I personally ALWAYS have trouble switching gears from a game like SFIV to a Vs. title. I am used to strategy and balanced play. This is the MOST balanced of ALL the Vs. games --BUT-- I have a LOT of trouble stringing specials together, and executing air combos, block variations and team attacks. These are the staples of the Vs. games; I feel like I'll never get used to them though!

It's got a TON of personality and I can already tell the gameplay system will certainly allow for H-U-G-E combos and frantic matches. I need to practice a lot more, but I plan on sticking with this one for a lone while...

...at least until SSFIV comes out!

I love the game! For me, it's not better than SFIV, but it's still a blast.

SFIV is obviously more balanced because of the 6 button lay-out and more balanced character match-ups. In TvsC, one guy can have a bigger advantage than the other on who they use, but that's no big deal because it's just another Capcom VS' game.

I think it's great though. It's the best fighting game on the Wii that's exclusive, so that's worth it alone. I do think that like all fighting games, it gets boring playing alone. But playing with friends who are also fans, is the best way to enjoy this game!

You'll love it for sure!

What are your guys favourite team?  I haven't gone through everyone yet to see, but I primarily use Jun the Swam + Chun Li.  Online the combo doesn't work for my play-style, though.  I needs my Chun Li kick-of-death.

I have ONLY played as Ken and Jun so far. I was planning on trying to stick with them for a while to try and get good with 'em...

...without instantly falling back on "I'll just play as Ryu."

I can't compare it against SFIV since I never played it but I am very happy with the game. I do prefer it to Marvel v. Capcom 2. It's not quite as meaninglessly chaotic if that makes sense. Plus I think the gameplay is a little more challenging. There may only be 3 attack buttons but there are more special counters, team ups, super moves etc.

Plus there is something to be said for all of the new characters who've never been in a fighting game before.  They were all handled very well. And got to love being able to play as the two giant mechs.

great impressions, thanks Leo and ASK ... and i will look forward to hearing you talk about it in the podcast yoda.  personally i have never played a VS game before nor any other tag-team fighter with the exception of a little bit of fatal fury/king of fighters years ago at the arcades.  i'm also easily confused by having too many gauges and ridiculous combos and air-combos.  so chances are i will find it a little overwhelming and hectic to begin with but i hope to stick with it long enough for it to start opening up and make sense.

all the videos i've seen make it look very attractive visually but also very enjoyable

I really like playing as Gold Lightan, but from what I have seen the giants just don't hold up well against any halfway decent team.

So far I don't really have a team of choice. I tend to gravitate towards characters that suck though like Roll and Bob the Flying Fucktard.

Ryu is pretty cheap. So is Batsu. I think I can hold my own and do some cheap damage with them. Grinning

Zero, Tekkamen Blade, and a few others can be cheap too, also that Onimusha guy.

With that said, I like to use Ryu and Batsu, because I like to play cheap! Nyaa

3 attack buttons which don't differentiate punch or kick just light, medium and strong right?

and another button to switch character?  how do you call your second character to do a tag combo but not to have them swap with you?

i agree with you, the weird tatsunoko characters are a big plus for me and they look very exciting.  i'm surprised many reviews think that it's a negative to get many new characters.
