When the holodeck comes it will be driven (like other emerging entertanment technologies) by porn.
But it will never happen in gaming in the current environment. Publishers seem to be modeling themselves after the movie studios making safer and more commercial product, and a sensible inclusion of "adult" content doesn't help them commercially.
The porn industry is suffering greatly right now, with the only growth sector being in the mobile computing format, so I don't see the publishers looking to get into straight out porn either.
Does it have a place? Is it even fun? I'm not so sure. I mean your mindset is in a different place entirely while playing a game (versus where it is when engaging erotica). It's kind of like studying for an exam while screwing -- you'd end up not doing a good job of either).
Outside of their suits all the Gears of War guys have bodies like this.
Let's leave out the supposedly humorous games like Leisure Suit Larry.
Do you ever see a point to games which are meant to arouse? Is there a place for porn games? What form would they take?
