Looking pretty good. I've been really itching to pick up RE: UC for awhile now and will probably actually grab it within the next week or two. I've been putting it off though because I am fully expecting a price-cut but I can't hold off forever.

Famitsu Article: Biohazard: Darkside Chronicles
Wii - Capcom - Release Date Undecided - Price Undecided
Producer: Masachika Kawata (Capcom), Kentaro Noguchi (cavia), Director: Yasuhiro Seto
A heroic battle unfolding from the player's perspectives, Biohazard: Darkside Chronicles is a gun shooting game and the sequel to Biohazard Umbrella Chronicles. The game will cover the currently unwritten stories and shadow-drenched parts of the series that took place leading up to the destruction of the Umbrella Corporation. This week, we have a look at Biohazard 2's two expected female protagonists. We will also give information series fans may have been worried about.

"Joint Combat!?"
(Picture of Claire below the above, and then spreading into the next page)
"A desperate struggle unfolding in the Police Station"
(In the frame showing the two zombies and Leon kicking one of them)
"Cooperative Play
As with the previous game, it is possible for two players to play at the same time. In the picture to the left, there are blue and red reticules. Also, in this game, there seems to be a good number of situations in which we send the players into struggles (QTEs?)."
(Left of the picture of Leon kicking the zombie)
"For the actions, the camera leaves the first person perspective and goes behind the protagonist, showing the action scene."
(Right of the big picture of Ada)
"Ada Wong
The mysterious woman Leon meets in Biohazard 2. She says she came to Raccoon City to find her boyfriend, but she actually carries a secret. In Biohazard 2, she only appears in Leon's story, making this game the first time she appears alongside Claire."
(Left of the big picture of Sherry)
"Sherry Birkin
The only daughter of the brilliant scientist, William Birkin and his wife Annette. Finding herself in the middle of the Biohazard in the city, she encounters Leon. She seems to be harboring something of mystery... This is her first time appearing in the series since Biohazard 2."
NOTE: The magazine does indeed say that Sherry runs into Leon, and not Claire.
(Between the picture of the Licker and Spiders)
"One after another, the creatures arrive and attack."
(Frame showing Leon, and Marvin)
"Important Points
Although the game will contain scenarios and circumstances from the past, there will also be new scenarios and content. In other words, there will be stories that deepen the series and broaden the views of the players. We'll introduce two such situations here."
(To the right of Leon in the same frame)
"On the wall of the Police Station, is that a message warning of the danger? Amongst the writing, words such as "Umbrella" can be seen. What does this person want to say, and to whom? For example, this seems to be written by someone such as a journalist..."
(Left of the Leon and Marvin frame)
"In Biohazard 2, Marvin Branagh, who collapsed in the west office of the first floor of the Police Station, we see him collapsed on the fountain of the main entrance hall. Is it possible for him to give us the truth about the incident?"
Nice info Vader.
Graphics are very nice. You see what all 3rd party games could look like with some TLC? Nothing to do with Wii's power. I would post the other screens but I feel lazy.
I have a feeling this will rollock Extration in sales.
EDIT:
Okay, reposting old pics.
Trailer and interview
This game looks really good, but I feel all lightgunned out at the moment.
It would be cool if you could play as the little girl for a level, throwing teddy bears as a side game or something.
bugsonglass said:that screen with the two officers and the 3 other people all in line looks like something from MJ's thriller
If that were a secret level, with the music and all that would be OMG must buy material. Replace Leon with Michael and have him attack you at the end.
Dvader said:They have an official website up with some music from the game, awesome stuff. Now this is a game you guys can kill me on, cause I am buying it cause it is RE. Not that I dont like lightgun games, they just aren't a priority, until they are about RE and dont suck.
Why don't you just roll up to Capcom US offices, open your mouth and take Christian Svenssons, hairy balls in your mouth?

“We use some of the great personal stories from Resident Evil 2 in The Darkside Chronicles. Resident Evil 2 was a darker, more intimate story compared to the chapters that we put into Umbrella Chronicles and I tried to highlight that difference when creating this game. The bonds between Leon and Ada, between Claire and Sherry. The story of the collapse of the Birkin Family. These relatively insignificant stories make Resident Evil 2 an unforgettable game. We focused on these intimate stories of love and family in The Darkside Chronicles. Tragic romance, the destruction of a happy family…isn’t that a bit on the Darkside?”
- Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles director Yashuhiro Seto
Looking and sounding very cool. I'm definitely interested in this game. I'm going to try to hunt down the best deal I can get RE: UC at so I can get my fix until then.
Eurogamer preview
In fact, the visuals are among the best the Wii has even seen, thanks in large part to game director Yasuhiro Seto and his team at developer Cavia, who have concocted scaled-down shaders and lens filters based on principles adopted from Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 groundwork elsewhere. There's more environmental detail spread across the game's claustrophobic corridors than we saw in House of the Dead: Overkill, to use an obvious comparison, as well as a comparably diverse range of atmospheric effects, giving the zombies, dogs, giant spiders, wolfy things and man-size claw interruptions a solid foundation to strut their dramatic stuff.
I re-hosted, do not quote or copy. Not really interested but whatever.
