So I faced off with like a bunch of rocket launcher guys. But the sniper rifle isnt fast enough and the only real way to beat them is by buying a bunch of grenade ammo. The section is unbalanced IMO.
So now how do I beat this russian woman?

In Sovjet Russia, woman beats you.
I'd let her beat me. Senseless. аццкий

It was fast enough for me.
Anyway, you mean the giantic blob? Shoot the heads of the tenticles, they glow bright orange, they darken when they are killed. Once you destory all of them the center of the monster will open up, take the super gun and aim at the center and fire. Do that a few times.

And you can buy her as your wife for the low low fee of...!
Okay so after the russian woman got infected there was this annoying QTE sequence, then I am inside the ship and walking about. There are a few zombies on the floor. One stands up, I blow his head off and out pops this giant balloon encased in bone? And he's wearing like steel plated pants.
I must have unloaded enough grenades and magnum bullets and sniper ammo and shotgun pellets into him to down 3 bosses but he wont die. What am I doing wrong?

Flash grenades will kill these guys instantly. The other way is to shoot the part on their leg that is exposed and once they drop to their knees the top part will open up then you blast away while it's open.

What part of their leg is exposed? They have steel plating all over the legs.

Actually it's not really a part of the leg but you should see something "fleshy" in that area that you can hit. You can also throw other types of grenades or blow up barrels next to him to help him go down.
Yeah, weird, all that ammo and one flash grenade downs him.
Beat that satellite boss. I don't know these bosses in this game seem more like spectacle and less gameplay to me. The gigante was a turret fight, same for Irving and now I'm on a tiny platform just shooting away. It all looks suitably epic, but there is no gameplay hook. It's just not varied or good enough.

Shut up and go fight Wesker.
(what I did like about these bosses is that each of them did have a unique puzzle or element specfic to that boss. While there isnt much of the running around while trying to damage type boss fights, they have the more pattern based, learn the trick bosses which I enjoy very much so as well.)

Yeah I loved the boss fights as well. Must resist urge to play through the game for a fourth, or is it fifth, time. I need to finish other games in my backlog before the holiday season rush that's coming.

I guess what I'd relate it to is El gigante in RE4. The first time you have descrutable huts, a wolf, a fairly open area to run about in and you have to run up onto his back and hack him too.
The next time you face him Ashley is with you and you have to get past him down a canyon, drop boulders on him, flash grenade him, grab keys and break door locks.
Then later in the game you face off with two of them in a lava canyon with a trapdoor and zipline.
Same boss, yet three different varied situations to face him. RE5 is very sort of workmanlike with the bosses.

Well yeah, like everything in RE5, its not as good as RE4. But I feel its still has better bosses the most action games do.
Got stuck at this bit I think the final bit before wesker. Everything is okay till they drop two of those bugs on me. That eats up all my grenade ammo and life. Then they drop two machine gun guys on me.
Any tips?

I'm not even going to answer that question.
Boo you did it the boring way, you are supposed to fight Wesker. Well you will get plenty of chances later.
