Because you're ashamed to admit you sold it.

Any tips?
Hard section. The good thing is that you dont need to worry about ammo for the machine gun guys. The first time I played I went at the machine gun guys head on and somehow beat them, but that is not the way you are supposed to do it. After you finish the bugs (hit the yellow spots on their sholders and then they show their belly, destroy that, three or four shots) quickly run to the side where there is a ladder to drop down to the area below. I go to the left side, there should be this huge gate blocking your way forward, after you beat the bugs the gate opens, you can hop over to the other side and you will see a ladder leading up to a platform with a gun turret on it. Just get up there and gun the machine gun people. Thats it.
Not sure I understand. After I shoot the bugs and kill them the gate I was waiting to unlock opens then right? So I run past the machine gun guys and find a ladder?

No, on the sides of the platform you are on, the one with the bugs, you will notice that there is an area off to the sides that is below you. Get down there when you finish with the bugs, go through the gate from below so that you never need to face the machine gun guys head on, the ladder to the gun turret is in that area.
Ah right. Its so hectic I dont notice. That boss ate up all my ammo. They seem a little stingy on the cash in this game.

Remember that if you upgrade the ammo capacity of a gun you get a full reload. Just a tip for the final battle. (Save sniper ammo)

I'm at Wesker. I play about an hour a night.
How do I beat him? I shoot rockets at him and he just holds them with his hands. I wait for Sheva to grab him but her AI is so fuck stupid in this boss fight she doesn't know what the hell she's doing. So I'm low on life hiding in the shadows waiting for hours for her to do the business only to find her downstairs holding a herb in her hand and not shooting.
Oh, so I walk up to her and she sprays ME with the herb. She was waiting around to heal me, so wouldn't attack and the game ground to a halt.
Also the inventory system has finally pissed me off for the last time. In RE4 you became good enough that you could use the pistol and just conserve the big ammo for more powerful weapons and play the game as you wanted to, switching when appropiate. In RE5 when you become good enough to have a reserve of decent ammo you have to discard it because of limited inventory slots.
And I dont think there is nearly enough cash in this game to wholly power up your weapons, despite the game making you pick up fragments of cash at every second.
Now tell me how to waste that ass, Wesker.

You play an hour a night, this isnt Animal Crossing.
Anyway about the ammo, you wont fully upgrade all the guns until about 6 full playthroughs. Its crazy, RE4 did the upgrading much better.
As for Wesker lets think this one through GG. You threw a ROCKET at him, he is HOLDING IT IN HIS HAND. When someone has a giant explosive device in his hand what do you do.
Tell Sheva to come, constantly give her commands, if you tell to come to you she will. Eventually you will need to double team Wesker in a grab, the AI should stay with you but if she wanders off keep hitting that button.
gamingeek said:But, but... it's in a non-controllable cutscene. Is he still holding it once its over? Am I suppossed to shoot it? But I'm holding a rocket launcher it takes a minute to put down and equip another weapon.
You have enough time to put down the rocket launcher and shoot the missle in his hand.
Yeah I tried it. The AI is completely useless in this segment. I tell Sheva to hold the launcher and she fluffs her shots. Otherwise I have to shoot him and Sheva doesn't shoot the rocket once Wesker is holding it. Which means I have to put it down and shoot and then what?
The rpg rounds can't even be held in your inventory. I'm constantly running around to avoid Wesker, the only way to do him damage is with sniper bullets but they wont kill him. So I blow this rocket up in weskers face, I shoot him a bit, Sheva knocks him to the ground and yells "Inject him!" so I run over to W and wait for some icon to pop up to inject and he recovers, kicks me in the face and I lost 3 quarters of my life bar.
This is a bad boss fight. To think that this game where I fought screen filling bosses is going to end with me AI co-op fighting a blonde guy in a leather jacket on a far too large playing area. Damn it, this is going to take some patience.

This thread should be renamed "dvader holds GG hand while he plays RE5"
You should be doing all the shooting, forget the AI is there. Its a pattern boss fight and one that isnt that hard (unless you screw up with the rockets.) By now I really hope you understand the whole turn off the lights thing. Wait for Wesker to get lost in the darkness, shoot a rocket at him, put down the rocket launcher shoot the rocket and be running full speed at the guy. The entire purpose of this fight is to inject him, not to do damage to him. When you get to Wesker Sheva should be holding him and you need to press the button prompt, or if you get there first you hold him. The first time it wont work, you need to do all that again.
Simple pattern boss that you play in a ton of games. Hide in the darkness, shoot a rocket, blow it up and grab him. Repeat.
Bah! I cant even stock up on first aid sprays because each one requires a slot.
Bah!

What do you have in your inventory?
In general all you should have is three guns for Chris, two for sheva, an ammo slot for each. You still have a ton of slots left. Two for grenades, and the rest for health.

I have 4 guns for Chris, which leaves me with 4 slots. Like 3 of them are taken up by ammo. Sheva has two guns and ammo for two, I give her the herbs so she can heal me.

Lose one of the guns for chris. You should only have a pistol, a power weapon (a shotgun is my favorite) and a sniper weapon. Thats all you need. One slot of ammo for each, one grenade, one herb and an open slot for whatever. Only give sheva a pistol or SMG, she is useless with power weapons, use her as a storage case,
I got rid of both pistols.
I was playing RE4 again over the weekend. When you play it, it shows up all the flaws of RE5, the save system, inventory the balance of weapons, the shop, upgrading weapons, item management, weapon swapping. The lot. It's just a smooth as butter experience you can play for hours at a time.
