For Christmas I'm getting the kids a new PC. It's really more for school, but it would be a complete waste if it weren't at least occasionlly used for video games. It's not a cutting edge model, so I won't be playing Fallout 4 or anything, but I think I could squeak by and play Sims 4 or DQ Heroes if I scale them down to the minimum specs. Still even those aren't priorities. The last PC game I played was Bastion in 2011 or 2012. So I've missed out on a few games. If anyone can think of something great I've missed out on in that time, be a pal and give me a recommendation.

Steel was playing newer games on his hobo rig before getting his beast, so I'm sure you can play more than you think. You just have to scale down to N64 levels.

Well there's the HD editions of Baldur's Gate 1 & 2, as well as Icewind Dale. As well as indie shit out the asshole.

Shadowrun Returns. The DS Final Fantasy remakes are on Steam.

Check out FTL, too! I know a lot of people that were addicted as HELL to this game! Ask Vader or anyone from The Ring of Fire.

Antichamber. Probably won't like it, though.

Just checked the member list of RoF.  So remind me, why do we have 2 seperate boards?  It's all the same people + a lot of folks I still remember from the GS days.  Hrm  Then again, they never took kindly to VU wankers.

Let's just say: Some people there REALLY don't like some people here and this site is way too Nintendo centric for most of their tastes. Just look at what happens when Vader starts a Nintendo topic there.

I think this place is way too Nintendo centric too  Nyaa  But yeah, I know a few of the people there, they were always very outspoken in their distaste of most thing Nintendo, as well as their views on some other forumites.  Not the most relaxed bunch.

Aw! Don't let Tony hear you say that! He's worked very hard on that site and he's a heck of a nice guy!

I was merely bringing up the Ring of Fire because FTL was --HUGE-- there for a while. If you want a lot of diverse opinions on PC games, or Playstation games, you'll get a lot more info there than here.
