Just kill the 360 thread. This thread allows us to discuss wider range of topics. For instance I can scold you guys for not buying Nyxquest.

That's fine. I'll keep the 360 thread just for my own purposes, like tracking my games, IF I get new disc-based games or, just as it started, as a way to discuss my experiences with the 360 as a platform altogether. It'll be used far less now, due to my DL-centric purchases as of late, but I'll still post in there if I feel it's necessary!

ARCHIE -- I've spotted you playing quite a bit of Bastion these last few days! What do you think?

Bastion is an excellent game. I'm not quite as enamoured with it as you probably are Leo. I'm right near the end and I'd say I'd probably rate it a solid 8.5.

A lot of the story line points hit me very personally. I actually got choked up a few times! The game is good, the story and some of the events made it personally GREAT!

Opinion on From Dust I shared with Yoda: "From Dust has a ridiculously addictive quality about it. Setting aside the ability to play with the elements, building walls with molten lava and changing the course of rapidly flowing rivers, for example... Each story stage has a 'Vegetation' gauge and if you fill it completely, you earn a Challenge Map... Not always easy! There was one stage with an active Volcano... you have to spread the vegetation, while avoiding building too close to the lava... one tree goes up and the fire burns it's way all the way back to your villages, killing everyone... so you have to build, balance, use your god powers and get your ass out of there before the Volcano overflows! COOL!"

Well just finished Bastion, what an excellent game. Huge props to Greg Kasavin and the Super Giant team. Great story that told very well and in an interesting fashion. Solid 8.5

Loot Game + Humor = Win!

With the third one coming out soon (The Baconing) I suddenly feel the urge to finish the first two!

Two came out very quickly after part one and wasn't that different. I'm hoping the extra time between two and Three, they really varied the gameplay. We'll see!

The very fact the logo for the game IS what it IS should make it very desirable for ANYONE on this site!

You know what it is?

From what I remember it looks no better than the PC version. In fact I don't remember the draw distance on the PC version being so bad. More importantly, though, they didn't increase the maximum number of photos you can save. Hrm Hrm Hrm

There's a small problem with the maximum number of worms per team being 4 when playing against 3 other teams: 3 concrete donkeys later and the AI has destroyed 3/4 or all of my team in 3 turns. Sad

I'm putting this here as a reminder to myself to pre-order the games I definitely want to get during Playstation 3's "Play" event this month and next!

This action-fighting title features 20 playable characters, HD graphics, more than 200 pieces of unlockable content, more than 100 trials and more than 100 challenges. All pre-orders will also receive a Capcom-produced theme. Street Fighter III Third Strike Online Edition will be $14.99.
  • August 30: Hothead Studios’ The Baconing will be available to pre-order through August 25, 2011. This action-RPG title is the third in the popular DeathSpank series. Attempt to defeat the Anti-Spank and his army of Cyborques, before they cast an evil shadow over Spanktopia. When BloodRayne: Betrayal is purchased during the PLAY promotion, purchasers will receive a BloodRayne: Betrayal virtual item for their PlayStation Home avatar and an exclusive dynamic theme. In addition, all pre-orders will also receive a static theme exclusive to PLAY.BloodRayne: Betrayal will be $14.99.
  • September 13: The SEGA title Renegade Ops will be available to pre-order through September 8, 2011.This top-down, driving shooter from SEGA features a huge variety of vehicles, guns and endless enemies. The game features Sandbox-style missions, so there are many different ways to play. When Renegade Ops is purchased through PLAY, purchasers will receive a Vehicle & Character Pack with two new vehicles and special weapons. All pre-orders will also receive a static theme, exclusive to PLAY. Renegade Ops will be $14.99.

_____________________

If you purchase all four gamers before September 19th, you'll be able to download Payday: The Heist for free when it's released.

_____________________

I know I am getting Third Strike. I know I am getting The Baconing. I know I am getting BloodRayne. Renegade Ops? Looks interesting, but I don't realistically see myself getting three other people to play with me... which is why I also am indifferent towards Payday: The Heist, in spite of the huge hype it has been getting. Still, might as well get the bonus stuff for the other games!

Did I accidentally post this in here or did someone move it...or perhaps I did it deliberately but don't remember. LOL

Why would anyone want to get the Bloodrayne game? It's a Bloodrayne game... isn't that enough to frighten sensible people away?

This one is being made by WayForward, makers of A Boy and His Blob, Contra 4, Shantae: Risky's Revenge... it's going to be good! All initial reactions to it have been VERY positive also!
