Nice to see a bunch of third party support and I was certainly expecting it to be a strong multiplatform list of games. The controller looks awesome, Iike. The name though? Wii U? Really? Ugh. I'll need to try and watch a video later on. Shame they were so scant on details but if it's not coming out until Fall '12 then they'll have another E3 show to do.
Spring 2012 is likely
It will not upgrade Wii games. No HD resolution.
He says the price will get you great value and it will be competitive.
By the end of the week they will talk about online.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrr
When they show Zelda. Who knows when that is.
I get 5 seconds of audio, 5 seconds of buffering.
2 nintendo roundtables reggie says.
The name is smart. Wii was too big of a brand to kill off, and Wii U sounds like Wii 2 which is what regular people will call it anyway.

Yeah, If I were THQ I'd be a bit pissed off. They even stole the name.

This is what had me confused.
robio said:Wow, Wii U is officially hardcore. Arkham, Darksiders, Assassin's Creed... that's strong.
Old games or the sequels?
3rd party games
- Darksiders 2 (THQ)
- Assassin's Creed (Ubisoft)
- Aliens Colonieal Marines (Sega)
- Dirt 3 (Codemasters)
- Batman Arkham City (Warner)
- Ghost Recon Online (Ubisoft)
-Original Ubisoft revolutionary FPS
- Metro Last Light (THQ)
- Tekken (Bandai Namco)
- Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge (Tecmo) + Wii U exclusive Ninja Gaiden
- Battlefield 3
Yeah but those are all ports of games coming out this year, are you really going to wait for the Wii U version?

Nintendo helped them develop the hardware. According to some interviews I watched THQ came to Nintendo and said "we have this idea, but we're software guys and can't quite get it to work." Nintendo took their notes and pretty much showed them how to build it. I'm sure Nintendo at that point let them know they liked the tech and would probably use the idea for themselves in the future.
This is so uncomfortable. Reggie wants to punch Keighley for going away from Reggie's programing.
