Anybody cares for an online session tonight?  I'm flexible with my times if anyone would like to but can't do the allocated time.

Right now?

I would be interested, but I'd have to haggle with the homefront before being able to commit to anything.  If I can make it I'll get back to you in here later today.

Poor Bugs, we all know how you lament switching discs.  Sad  Be brave Bugs, it'll be worth it in the end!

I think you'll have the option to do so in the Friends section of the online menu.

All 48 courses or minus DLC?

Yeah, I see it. Currently greyed out.

I've only got the first DLC, so minus second (or all if that's not an option).

EDIT:

Yes, can't join due to add-on content.

Had about an hour's worth of races with foolz.  We're about the same level I think so it was fairly evenly matched and we more or less shared the spoils.  The I realised how much I'd missed this so I played another hour or two online with random people.  Most races had at least 10 participants and there were many with a full line-up of 12.  I was one of the better ones, consistently finishing in the top 4 and I won quite a few races.  Online races seem the easiest when you are leading and get a bit ahead of the pack.  Save for the occasional blue shell (which mercifully come up very rarely on MK8 as opposed to previous versions ... especially the joke that is MKWii).  The online aspect of MK8 seems to still be quite healthy even after Splatoon has come and gone Nyaa

This is the greatest U game and then some.

You played early without warning?

No one in for tonight then? More time for Splatoon.

That was very impromptu as foolz sort answered right away.  I'm up for more MK8 tonight if anybody wants some!!  Not going to say no.

Rare? I'd hate to see what the Wii version was like. Hrm I had a blast, and each race was exciting and close except when I screwed up completely on Rainbow Road...

I must admit I had a chuckle when I saw your position on Rainbow Road.  It was your track choice and you had repeatedly chosen it until you finally got your wish!!  Grinning

I screwed up completely on a previous one we played.

LOL

But that's what I love about that version of Rainbow Road: any fuck ups are likely fatal because of how hard it is to use certain catchup items, like mushrooms.

Yes, I think you came fifth or something on one of them? Other than that it was all 1st, 2nd or at worst 3rd for both of us.

After avoiding this for a while I'm amped up for it. Anyone else in for MK8 tonight? First person on start a worldwide online race and we'll join.
