That said, I am a compulsive collector with over 2,100 games. I have not gone more than 5 days without buying a new game in probably 5 years.
problem is i can't seem able to ignore new releases so i keep on buying more games than i could ever play.
Well as you can see from my latest blog, a pretty long time but if we are talking about revisiting existing collections, literally years. Gaming is such a huge time suck and games are so long I question whether I should even keep games, and yet I cant let the good ones go.

Say, what's your favourite of the series? I played the N64 one first, and every one since has been a letdown in comparison, I've found.

You know I actually started to write a game by game breakdown on which ones in the series are good and which are not. Sort of put it on hold since I didn't think anyone had interest in the series. Maybe I'll go ahead and finish it.
To answer your question, Magical Melody is probably my favorite. I wasn't a big fan of the art style, but it grew on me, and I'm glad it did. There's a huge number of characters to interact with, a population that actually grows and evolves bit, and the quest to save the Harvest Goddess helps keep things moving along even when there's not a whole lot else progressing.
That being said I have high hopes for Harvest Moon: Animal Parade that's being released this month. It's going to be very similar to Tree of Tranquility, which I considered to be excellent, but it was plagued with bugs and programming issues (that much slowdown shouldn't exist in any game released these days). If they can keep the core game the same, and address all the bugs and other problems that ToT had, then this could be a damn good installment.
Listen to Iced Earth and play Doom
Coopersville said:I think it's impossible for me to answer that honestly. As much as I enjoy logging into Skulltag and playing Doom for hours per day, there's always a future game I'm anticipating. I also have a fairly poor collection, in retrospect.
What's skulltag?
An online source port for Doom, Doom 2, Hexen, and Heretic. It adds new features, and offers easy (and some new) multiplayer and co-op mode access.

Ahh.. I can never get those things to work.
How about yourselves? How far could your backlog and replayable games take you?
